 We camped here as a group of ten adults and this site fit our needs very well. It was cheap and basic, but that's what we were after.
The site is located within an activity center, so it's a busy place. We didn't do any of the activities because we didn't have the money, but they did look good (rock climbing, horse riding etc). It also has a cafe which seemed handy in the rain, but the service was very slow and they weren't very organised.
The site itself is a sloping field, but with plenty of flat bits. The views are stunning and there is a lot of space for cricket, rounders etc. We had one very rainy night and things did get quite muddy, so take your wellies. There are big picnic tables dotted about which is fab too.
We were handed quite an extensive list of rules when entering, which always puts me off. I managed to lose the rules within about 5 minutes but we didn't seem to break any. The toilets and showers are shared with the activity centre and are quite messy. But they did the job.
The area in general is great for adults, lots of walks from the site up into the hills and two pubs within walking distance. The Red Dragon in Llangorse is lovely, great food, friendly service to non-locals and it's own micro-brewery!
Not sure whether it's kid friendly, no play areas, small showers, no washing up facilities and quite close by to a road and the drive-way to the activity centre.
Overall, I would return - if just for the views and the pub!
