 This site took a bit of finding and care needs to be taken on the thin, bendy approach road down to the lakeside & campsite. The site is located next to a public beach and the public have access to the campsite facilities & restaurants/shops. The lake is lovely, with stunning scenery, but the campsite left a little to be desired to say the least, considering the steep price! It is a large, impersonal site and the greeting on arrival left a little to be desired (I was ignored in Reception whilst the staff chatted on walkie-talkies, feet on desk). Other staff encountered on-site were similarly dour and gave the impression that they couldn't care less (unusual in France in our, very positive, experience of French camping for 6 weeks every summer) - maybe Campeole pay minimum wage? It is a fair drive to get to shops, so take supplies, however, if you want a lakeside setting and a busy site, this may be for you - hopefully the staff will have had a pay rise by next year!
