The pitches were flat and near electric hook up and water. Shower and toilet facilities were clean and in good condition.
Price was good and area lovely and clean.
Would have liked the option to book a fully serviced pitch.
Met up with relatives so used the pub restaurant which was OK. Served usual pub food.
Will book again in a couple of seasons time.

Booked this site for 3 nights only just to test out our recently purchased caravan. Found the site on the net which was relatively local. What a little find!
Situated behind the Star Inn pub in a moderately sized field which was level and flat and well kept. Set amongst acres of fields and very quiet and tranquil.
Lovely public dog walk nearby across several farmers fields.
Toilet block although small and dated was very clean and all you need. There are 3 showers, again very clean and spacious with plenty of hot water, can’t fault them!
We ate in the pub on two occasions, one evening meal and one bar snack. Both very tasty and cooked beautifully. The cod and chips was very substantial and well priced. Beer was good, again not over expensive and staff very friendly.
Will definitely be returning to this site for long weekends to relax and unwind. On the Friday and Saturday of our stay there was live music, having said this come 11pm it promptly shut down and did not affect our stay at all.
We were lucky with the weather, very hot and sunny throughout but I’m sure it will be a lovely bolt hole at any time of year.

This was just an overnight stop for us on our way home from Mersea Island but we were pleasantly surprised.
There's not much around locally.
It's essentially just a field behind the pub but is neat and tidy and level with EHU, hardstanding and water taps all around. Also Adults Only so pleasantly quiet.
The facilities are basic but clean and well maintained. There are now showers installed.
There is a bus stop outside but we didn't check out the service. There is a second pub just over the road which we didn't try.
£25 pn isn't bad value these days I suppose but you get a £5 voucher to spend in the pub. The food there is excellent and good value.

This was perfect for us (2 adults) We stayed for 2 nights and had everything we needed. The site was clean. Electric worked (there was still some electric from the previous people). The toilets and shower facilities looked new and were lovely.
The pub on site, provided meals and beverages at good prices which was much appreciated. It was quiet at night.
This is a no fuss site which provides the essentials and is very clean. We enjoyed our stay and wished we could have stayed longer.

We stayed here for 2 nights and absolutely loved it.
The pub was very friendly and the locals welcomed us. The food was fantastic (I recommend the ribs) but make sure your hungry the portions are huge.
The shower block is on it's way and I guess shouldn't take too long to finish now.
I would highly recommend popping to tillingham too a lovely village
Many thanks
We will definitely be back

Enjoyed 2 nights here camping again for the first time in 25 years. Very friendly pub with reasonably priced meals although pub over the road is a little cheaper.
They should install a shower block as this was the only thing missing from a perfect weekend. Full english breakfast with tea or coffee is only 4.95 but only served till 10am.
Nearest shop(nisa)is 2 miles away as is fish and chip shop and indian take away. River blackwater also approx 2 miles away. Would definitely stay here again. Very cheap
