 Lovely campsite. Nice peaceful country side location but still great for shops and pubs. 2 good pubs within a few minutes drive from the site. The owners are lovely, very helpful and made us feel very welcome.

Have just come back from a 7 night stay at this lovely site. Owners very friendly and welcoming. The shower/toilet was clean and adequate. The site is in the New Forest and central to many places of interest ie Lymington, Lyndhurst, Christchurch, Beaulieu. We initially booked for 2 nights but then decided to extend our stay and explore the area. Will definitely book this site again should we visit the area.

Just returned from a lovely 5 day stay at Crabbwood farm CL. Felt it only fair to counter the only review on this site. CL's don't have to supply toilets and showers, so to complain that such facilities are grubby is unfair.
The owners are lovely, and keep the pitches immaculate, the floor tiles in the separate toilet and shower/toilet room are impossible to keep clean when people are walking across grass to access them, CL sites don't usually employ a cleaner but supply bucket and mop for campers to clean up after themselves is the standard arrangement in our experience to keep costs down, every caravanner carries their own toilet rolls again as do people that camp in tents, if you want 5 star luxury facilities on site you don't book a CL.
As to the location it could'nt be better market forces dictate that the New Forest is an exclusive/expensive area for property and land a CL pitch here is going to be more expensive than most uk areas, the statement that the nearest pub was 3. 5 miles away is stupidly wrong, there is a lovely pub little more than half a mile away, indeed several large villages are closer than 3. 5 miles away. I say, book this site as many regulars do for a PERFECT stay in the heart of the New Forest, we certainly will be returning.

Good location but that is all. No shops or pub in the area. 3. 5 miles to nearest pub for food and drink.
Caravan Club Directory states 'from £9. 50' but we were charged £17 per night late season and could only book if we stayed a minimum of 2 nights. Cash only was requested and that was before we got through the gate (fortunately we were able to rustle up the cash - do not usually carry very much as we rely on Debit Card to save loss of money and, the site did look OK. However, when on site we found the facilities to be a grubby toilet and shower. No toilet paper, soap or means to dry hands. The shower cost an extra 20p - not a great sum but, after paying top rate for the pitch, a free shower would have been expected. I would not dream of returning. This was our first trip as members and, had I seen the state of the 'facilities' I would have driven home and forgotten about the pleasure I had been looking forward to.
