We stayed there for 2 nights, we were on big motorcycle and it was bit struggle to park in lower section where pitch is,
The good thing was views and pitch is really big so you can find spot that will suits you,
Toilets were fine also showers, but they were not as clean as you would like to be :-/
A big plus is that you can order food and drinks also alcohol via they webpage and they will bring it to your tent.
Overall good but not the best.
Nearest big shop in Brecon about 10min by car / motorcycle
It was great spot if you want to do some hiking

We booked August bank holiday for a family trip (us, our son, daughter in law and their 3 children, our daughter and her 2 children).
The signage claims a 4 star luxury site with large family pitches. Pah!
The views are to die for but as they are provided for free by the magnificent Brecon Beacons I’m afraid Cantref Adventure Farm can take no credit for this. Therein the good things end.
When we checked in we were told which pitches we had been allocated. There was torrential rain at this point and I don’t blame the girl for not wanting to show us to out pitch but we would have appreciated the gesture.
First things first. The 3 pitches allocated were very small. We had a Vango Padstow, Vango Icarus and Easycamp Huntsville. Not big tents but struggled to get them onto the pitches. The guys had to be criss-crossed between the pitches leaving no room at all to walk between the tents. The pitches were on a slope and at the front that slope was too steep for me to negotiate (I’m in my early 50s and reasonably fit and active) my daughter has balance and mobility issues and fell several times as there was nowhere safe for her to walk. The pitches weren’t just on a slope they were lumpy and stoney.
Facilities:
EHU was close to each pitch.
Water plentiful.
Toilet block:
This is not in the same field as the camping. Campers have to leave the field, pass reception for the Adventure Farm and walk up a steep ramp to access the block. The path isn’t very well lit. This is problematic if you have small children or indeed have mobility issues. The toilet block may be new but it was very basic. In the ladies there were 2 toilets and 2 showers and 3 handbasins. 1 cold hand drier. In the gents (so my son tells me) 2 showers, 1 toilet cubicle and 1 urinal.
Washing up: 2 sinks around the back of the toilet block with warm (as opposed to hot) and cold water. The light here didn’t work.
There didn’t appear to be any staff on site once the Adventure Farm was closed at 5pm.
There was dog mess between the tents (we didn’t have a dog with us).
Nowhere for the children to play (except through the hedge which meant we could no longer see the children). My oldest 2 grandchildren (aged 10 and 12) got badly stung by nettles in there.
There was no physical way of leaving your tent without crossing someone else’s pitch as they were so tightly packed and the pitches so small. My poor daughter fell several times.
It was £10. 49 each to access the Adventure Farm and whilst this allowed access for 2 days it’s a lot of money on top of the site fees which were a lot considering the state of the site.
I will never visit this site again and would advise others to think carefully before doing so.

Stayed here on Easter weekend. Cantref claims to be a 4 star campsite but what we found struggles to be 2 star.
Good points
Located on adventure farm, great for kids
Level grass pitches with hard standing by each one for car
Water points close by
You are allowed fires off the ground
There is a big trampoline for the kids
Friendly staff
Electric hook up
Bad points
The toilet and shower block is dirty
There is no heating in it so freezing for a shower
The shower spray is very spiny, it hurts the skin!
The basin taps come on so powerfully they soak your trousers
The hand dryer blows freezing cold air
Family shower room had broken shower and then got closed altogether
Dirty washing up facilities
Loos ran out of toilet paper
So if you aren't bothered about the facilities then the views are amazing, location great for walks and close enough to brecon for amenities but not too close.
