 This is a family run site which is heavily terraced up the side of les Montagnes de la Lance. If you are at all daunted by the incline, the owner has a very powerful motor that makes light work, even of large double axelled monsters.
There are two sanitaire blocks which are adequate without being sumptious, the water is hot and the showers work. There is a 10 amp electric supply and free wifi in the vicinity of the reception/restaurant.
Evening meals of a higher standard than is usually found on a site of this size, are reasonably priced, and the bread is baked in the kitchen for your morning baguette or brioche.
There is a large heated swimming pool and an 'aire de jeu'
The campsite is midway between Nyons and Valreas which have several large supermarkets.
Nyons is the home of the black tranche olive, so go to Vignolis where you get these in bulk as well as your wine in bulk. (You must try a red wine Les Baronnies. It is dear at €1. 20 a litre, but worth the extra)
The old town is vibrant and part of everyday life. Sitting in the olive market watching the world go by is great. Going up the gorge of the Evques to Remuzat is a fantastic day out.
We have already pencilled in our return to this site in 2013
