This has been a lovely few nights stay. The owners have chickens and ducks running free through the day and they're very friendly and the duck with ducklings following her everywhere she went was adorable.
The place where I pitched my tent was flat, some of the field is more sloping than flat, so was pleased to be on a level bit of ground. The campsite was quiet.
Just the neighbouring cattle and sheep and the birds. Amenities are basic, but what more do you need when camping.
I didn't try the shower here as I'm a member of a gym and went there every morning for a shower as I was going there for a swim anyway.
I'll be back here to camp when I'm next in the area as it's a really peaceful site.

My idea of heaven.
I stayed for one night in my small camper van.
Perfect campsite. So peaceful and quiet - I loved it.
Very well maintained - tidy and clean.
The amenities were spotless. And the owners are such a nice couple.
Def be returning again.

Friendly owners who made us very welcomed.
Site has a few fixed caravans however we were the only visitors and therefore very peaceful.
Facilities basic but adequate and clean.
Regular visits from the hens and ducks whose eggs were excellent.
Easy access to Blairgowrie and very good cycling routes around some beautiful countryside.

Chris was difficult to get hold off and pin down for a group of motorcyclists wanting a base for the night before Leuchars airshow and I can understand his reservations. Managed eventually to get confirmation and boy were we pleased.
This bijou campsite is easy to find has no pretence but has everything you could wish for for the price of a 'deep sea diver' per skull per night.
There were 7 of us in 5 tents and we could keep a suitable distance that snoring and flatulence didn't keep each other awake. The owls in the canopy above did however!
Its an easy 15 mins stroll to Blair centre where there are good pubs and eateries. A Spar about 5 mins away has the basics you will need.
Toilet facilities are bothy like but clean and tidy and the shower has suitable force and heat unlike some misnamed units.
Water is from a spring with a caveat about boiling due to potential for bugs. However local pubs will give you bottles of tap water in old lemonade bottles when pressed or just boil it hard. There were no ill effects directly attributed to the water.
Due to the crap weather Chris kindly manoeuvred a trailer for us to sit in but we used it for changing into motorcycle gear when the time came to leave and it was raining. Helpful flexible chap - as has been mentioned before.
Hesitate to recommend in case it gets too successful and spoilt!

Just back from spending two nights here with my friend. A great, quite site if your happy with basic facilities.
The toilets were spotless with plenty of soap, towels etc. There's a notice warning to boil the spring water but I didn't bother and had no ill effects.
We were the only campers staying all weekend but there's plenty of space if it was busier. We only spoke to the owner for a couple of minutes but his partner made us welcome on our arrival and even gave us a lift into town in the evening.
Would definitely recommend.

We booked this site for three nights on the strength of its reviews. On arrival, we thought we were in the wrong place as it looked like a haulage yard. We phoned the owner who appeared and was very friendly and told us to drive past this into a small grassy field. This was the site. It was only flat in the centre and rose steeply up a hill to a wooden shed with a toilet and basin. Behind this was another shed with the shower. Water and waste was up this hill too. Hook up was one point under a barrel with multiple points on it. There was one caravan at the bottom of the field which looked like it was a weekend use and one at top of field that hadn't been in use for years I think. The owner asked if we were sure we wanted to stay, we said we would for one night as it was late in the day and we had driven a long way.
It is a peaceful site and we saw red deer and lots of birds, but early next morning we were woken with the owners haulage lorry starting up and engine running for a good while before leaving.
To be fair, the toilet and shower were clean and all the facilities worked. But it is a steep grassy hill to get to them or get water and get rid of waste. Also the field was pretty wet at the bottom after rain overnight. Could be a problem for a heavier unit. At £15 a night it is expensive for what you get. When we left the sign at the gate had been removed.

Found this site after trying a earlier site near Perth which looked too busy and too regimented.
So glad we came here. Lovely site in a great green area, you're surrounded by trees and greenery with birds and wild life all around, no marked pitches and plenty of room and reasonable costs
We were the only ones so had facilities to ourselves, there's one toilet and one toilet with hand basin and shower, plenty of hot water and lovely and clean, there is a hook up but we didn't bother as is stayed light till 11pm in June,
Town nearby has plenty of shops for food etc, if we go back up to this area
I will definitely go back to the site, you won't be disappointed.

Browsing the net to find somewhere to start our caravan holiday we came across this campsite. We contacted the owner who honestly informed us that the site was basic but accommodating. We arrived Monday 26th July intending to only stay the one night however this campsite is a wee gem in the heart of Perthshire, we liked it so much that we decided to take each night as it came as we honestly fell in love with the place and stayed for the rest of our holiday, believe me this place is impressive.
The owner and his partner are very welcoming and the site provides adequate hook up facilities for 3 caravans. How many tents it can accommodate? the owner would inform you of that.
We arrived, set up the caravan and were met by the owner. The price is very reasonable for what it offers, some of the larger holiday parks would be put to shame by this place. Loved the tranquillity of this place and we were fortunate that the weather was spectacular(yes this is in Scotland where we are known to have the privilege of finer weather on occasion.
The location is perfect for those intending to tour the Perthshire and Highland areas then return for supper and the local facilities are an easy 5 minute drive or 15 minutes if walking.
This site is perfect for couples of all ages who quite simply want to enjoy peace, tranquillity and a beautiful view of the countryside.
In addition to this splendour I had a right giggle feeding the chickens and the ducks who are nothing but hugely entertaining, the are something else and made me laugh occasionally, but don't be deterred by the animals, they are very quiet and will not disturb the peace.
So do yourself a favour and give this site a try, you will love it and we are definitely going back!

A friend and I stayed at this site for one night whilst in the area to watch the Rally of Scotland.
The site is small and basic but very well maintained. There are three caravan pitches and I would estimate space for about 12 tents.
There is a very clean bathroom with shower, toilet and sink.
The owner was very helpful and friendly. We stayed on one of the worst nights of the year for weather and the owner invited us both in for a cup of tea and a chat about the rally.
I would highly recommend this site for adults wanting a base in the area for hiking, cycling or motorsport events (the Rally of Scotland and the Colin McRae Rally are both very close by). The site does not have child friendly facilities.
The site was easy to find although not signposted from the road. The owner gave very clear directions and the sat nav was spot on.
Excellent value for money for this small, clean site.
