Fantastic location right on the sea front, although the strong winds did mean that I had to put the roof on my campervan down for 2 nights of my 3 night stay. Friendly and helpful warden. Amenity block being refurbished so when I was there the facilities were in a portakabin accessible with a key. Only one toilet and two showers, but never had to wait as most other visitors were caravanners who obviously used their own facilities. Cushendall is about a 5-10 minute walk away with a few pubs, Spar supermarket, plus a couple of shops and takeaways. Only about 35 mins drive from Larne ferry so a good first stop and ideal for touring the Antrim Coast & Glens.
A nicely located site right by the sea on the Antrim coast not far from Glenarrif Forest Park. The site is also next to a public boat jetty and launch which makes interesting viewing whilst sipping wine in an evening. The site is on the edge of a larger static site where there may be more facilities than we saw.
The price was £18 with hook-up and the facilities for that were adequate with plenty of toilets and free showers in a port-cabin. Not sure how it would cope if the site was really busy and I'm sure the local council should maybe think about a re-furb at some stage.
The village of Cushendall and it's amenities are a 5 minute walk away where there is a shop and a pub.
