Picked this site as it had a pool, we had been away with 3 kids and this was our last stop before the tunnel, thought the pool would give the kids something to do after a long day driving up. It was out of season, pitch was not great but good enough, didn't use showers. It did feel run down but the time of year didn't help. The kids got to use the indoor pool for a bit and didn't complain. We went to the bar/restaurant and although they said they had stopped doing food a word with the chef by the bar staff and we were served, so really good on them. Supermarket next door, the village with shops a good cycle away in the cold. Wouldnt go back though.

Stayed 2 nights here, a very large site with many chalet type accommodation. The touring area is at the far end of the site in the woods and each pitch was enclosed with hedges and shrubs, once set up you feel as if out in the woods on your own. The staff were ok, on arrival given a map and told we could set up anywhere on the touring area, so few there we were spoilt for choice. There is a marked trail in the forest with various challenges if you are that way inclined, sort mini assault course, I did a couple of easy ones. Lidls and Intermarche a short walk away. Berck Plage was 3 miles on a direct road all flat, ideal on the bikes, and a choice of eating when there, the weather was lovely for us so made a lovely day.
Now the downside, the toilet blocks, the pink one was not open so all used the blue, the toilets were heavily stained none had a seat some were the old stand up footprint, the showers were tepid at best and difficult to towel in due to lack of room, I am not a large person.
Didn't use the Bar / Brasserie so unable to comment, there were play areas and a very nice heated pool.
Doubt if we'd stay here again but purely because of the toilet block.

Used this site for a one night stopover on our way to Dunkerque and we would not return again. The site is a very large commercial site mainly populated by statics and the touring area is some distance from the reception, restaurants and pool. Our pitch was very small, only just large enough for our 2 berth (5. 5m) caravan and car. Had we wished to erect an awning we would not have had the space.
Toilets were not very clean and there were several small children playing in and around the block. Lighting in washing up and laundry areas went out at 9pm. We did not find the atmosphere on site very pleasant. There were a number of large groups of people outside their caravans late into the evening drinking and playing music. There were also large groups of teenagers hanging around the reception/bar areas. As we were out of the ACSI card discount period we paid 32 euros for the one night, more than double what we had paid on any other site during our three week holiday.
I cannot comment on the area as we were only passing through. There is a LIdl supermarket next door to the site and another supermarket within walking distance. On the plus side reception staff were pleasant and friendly.

We have just returned from a very nice weekend at L’Oree Du Bois campsite. As we were only going for a few days we decided not to use our own caravan but to hire one of the site’s chalets which was very clean and well equipped. The only things that were really missing were a kettle and an oven, although they did supply a coffee maker and a microwave.
The site is easy to find and only about an hour from Calais. Basically you take the A16 towards Boulogne. You want exit 25 (Berck), then follow the signs to Rang-du-Fliers (not Berck). When you get to Rang-de-Fliers drive through the town to the next roundabout, and from here follow the red campsite signs to L’Oree du Bois. As you drive past the Lidl you will see a sign saying L’Oree du Bois pointing left. You do not want this as this will take you into their Bar/Restaurant. The entrance to the campsite is just a little further on to the left.
The site itself is very pleasant. All the staff are very friendly but do not speak too much English. There is plenty of space for games etc. The site has a football pitch, a fishing lake, children’s playgrounds and a couple of swimming pools. At this time of year one of the pools is covered.
We tried the site restaurant while we were here and had excellent food. It was very friendly.
There is no shop on site, however there is a Lidl and a large Intermarche supermarket both within walking distance. You can also get bread and croissants for breakfast at the site restaurant each morning.
We didn’t really make use of the toilets or showers on site as we were well provided for in our chalet, however I did have a peek in the block closest to the camping area and these seemed nice and clean and modern. The toilets, basins, and showers were split into 2 rooms, presumably for Ladies and Gents, although there didn’t seem to be any signs up to say which was which. One of the rooms also contained a urinal, so presumably that was the Gents. Strangely this room was decorated in pink and the other room in blue! The toilets were a mixture of French style and UK style without seats.
The site is reasonably large with many of the plots taken with privately owned mobile homes. The rest of the pitches (those furthest from the entrance) are a mixture of site owned chalets, and touring pitches. The touring pitches are average sized and are fairly well shaded. Some of the electricity points were a long distance away from some pitches.
To sum up, it is a lovely site and one that I would have no hesitation going back to for a weekend away. Close by there is the seaside town of Berck-sur-Mer, the chic resort of Le Touquet, and the Bagatelle theme park. It is certainly a good stop-over site as it is only an hour from Calais.
