Previous comments were correct regarding the site but I disagree with the ease at which people seemed to get to the site. It was down a road that was one car wide most of the way. We came nose to nose with a 'local' who sat in his car expecting us to reverse with a 6. 5 m caravan. Eventually he reversed into one of the few passing places.
If you are nervous with towing down narrow lanes do not use this site.

We've just had a long weekend at Gatelands Farm and were very pleased.
In searching for a CL in the area we were initially put off by the size limit and negative comments on access mentioned in the CC Sites Directory. The directions are however excellent and the advice to ignore the satnav must be heeded for larger / low powered rigs. In fact the recommended access route is better and easier than many other rural accesses we have used in Cornwall and Derbyshire. The worry for some might be parked vehicles on the lane just outside Sowerby but we found that even with Transit vans parked at the roadside we had a good 200mm + to spare each side of our van. Just watch out for bulges in the stone walls by the trees. The other point to watch is the tree trunk at the site entrance but again it just needs slight care if you have a largish rig. Basic hard standings are provided. The plot does undulate and a front wheel drive tug could struggle in the wet if you don't plan your line sensibly and keep to the high ground, but that is CL's and we use them all the time for their friendly and unregimented qualities.
The site is very quiet and clean, and close to good facilities in Sowerby and Sowerby Bridge, plus local village shops nearby. We used the site as a base to explore the Forest of Rossendale in search of ancestors' graves, and to visit some of the many waterway attractions in the area. The Calder & Hebble Navigation, Rochdale, Huddersfield and Leeds / Liverpool Canals are all close by, and as some of the only UK waterways we never got to cruise in our narrowboating days we enjoyed the towpath walking.
The 'Facilities Block' is indeed a small wooden garden shed with loo, basin and the odd spider, but HWEB (He Who Empties the Bog) regarded this as a welcome bonus on a very reasonably priced CL.
Thoroughly recommended!

This is a small Caravan Club site with five hard standing pitches. Electric hook up available our lead however wasn't long enough but the site owners had a spare lead that the let us use.
There is a a toilet on site located in a small shed with a wash hand basin. The site is on a slight slope so if wet it can be a struggle to locate your unit.
The approach to the site from the main road can be tight if vans and cars are parked at the side of the road but the three other lager unit managed it with care.
Don't use your sat nav to find here it will try and take you up narrow steep lanes.
We paid £10.00 per night which was a fair price for the pitch.

This is a small campsite, its quite cute really. It is on a farm you can see chickens in the next field.
the toilet is in a shed which was a bit off putting. It was clean enough but scary it had a few spiders. If you like spiders you have nothing to worry about
The owners are nice and pleasant with a lovely friendly dog.
Satnav took us up the steep hill and yeah its very steep and tight. There is a much better way in going past st peters infant school.
Its not far from sowerby bridge which has plenty of shops if you need anything.
