I came to the golden palm resort in May of 2014. I really enjoyed my stay and I recommend it to anyone who comes chapel st Leonard's.
The campsite has a unique system where you pay £20 for a key which gets you In the toilet/shower block at the end of your stay it will get back the £20. The club tropicana is about a 5 minute walk from the campsite.
There is a swimming pool which is £3. 50 per person for a 1 and a half hours in the pool. The maid Marian pub is just across the road from the club tropicana.
The chippy and the pizza parlour are also just across the road from the club tropicana. I think that the pizzas and chips are the best in Skegness. The beach is about a 10 minute walk for the campsite. Like I.
Said I really have enjoyed my stay and will be coming back soon. If you want to come down to beautiful chapel st leornards book this campsite. Forgot to say that the warden is very polite as he drives round all the time day and night to make sure everyone is ok.
I give this park full ratings.

Just got back from a 4 night stay at this site, arrived early and was ok to go straight to pitch. Got passes for the club on site. Toilets are locked and you do have to pay £20 deposit for the key.
Clean and pleasant facilities. Showers are a bit strong so don't leave anything on floor. Going back next year, pitch size was good and warden friendly got offered an extension for £5 as the night before we left it was windy, loved Maid Marion pub great food and karaoke (if you like that thing), there is a swimming pool on site which we didn't use but heard that it was ok (extra charge).
Nice central location for Chapel and only 5-10 minutes to Skegness depending on traffic. Looking forward to seeing you next August :)
My father sites his van there for the summer which is always an option for people.

The weather let the site down as it made very large puddles right near the toilet & shower block which meant that they had to be walked through all the time.
The showers were luke warm and the water went off every 10 seconds to which you have to then press the tap again. There was no table to put your clothes on and when you hung them on the one and only hook then they all got wet from the shower head as it went more in the air then on your body. We had to put all the clothes over the top of the shower door. Three of the toilets didn't flush.
The shops are good. The takeaway pizza place is cheap and very nice. We didn't use the pubs as we always take our own alcohol.

Just came back from our Easter weekend break, a bit wet and cold but the site is fantastic, this is our fifth visit and we will keep coming back. The toilets and showers are very clean, the pool is a godsend when its raining, play area is great for the kids. The facilities in the surrounding area are really handy, the Maid Marion pub is friendly and ideal as just across the road. The beach is a short distance away, and not to forget the site warden he's fantastic and always there to help if you need him, always driving round the site to make sure every one is ok, one dedicated man well done and see you soon :)

Just started the camping game with high end tent and gear spent a fortune and this site was our first trip as 2 adults a 4yr old and a nearly 3yr old, sister in law and mother/farther in law in their caravan. High season phoned up 3 days before we went was given 2 pitch numbers at opposite ends of the site 1 day before we left another call with 2 pitches next to each other. FANTASTIC.
Set off from Leicester 09. 30 with 1 of my girls and the in laws set of half hour later. The in laws arrived first towing a caravan(buggers) and was shown to the caravan pitch site personally and also introduced to site warden. Both very nice people and really helpful. Before I arrived they asked if it was OK to spin the caravan around off the slab so we could face each other ( The kids loved running from our tent to the caravan) No problem was the reaction. Pitch sizes are fine plenty of space.
Looked on website and thought it was a hell of a trek to swimming pool/play area but was surprised it was a lot closer than I thought. Swimming pool is £3. 50 per 1 1/2 hr session but well worth it tis a fantastic pool. Well stocked supermarket on site/ nice pub/chip shop/pizza parla/ great on site club. The big question is would I revisit this site? Already booked it for next year had a fantastic time, A little loud at night but it is high season, hot showers clean toilets, friendly staff

We have recently stayed at the golden palm resort. With four children 8, 6, 2, 1. On arrival we were told to find the touring warden witch ca, e to us really a friendly helpful man.
We were allocated our pitch witch was beside the road in and out the site witch was a nightmare with small wondering children !
we had problems with touring perm caravan residents running over our trailer and randomly walking into our tent !
on the plus side the showering and toilet facilities were great and washing up facilities were great.
The entertainment was expensive at 3/4 pound each a night and also the swimming pool at 3. 50 each
there's not really a lot to do for small children to do and no ground for them to run free.
The noise at night with the traffic past our tent was horrendous!
we were even accused of meddling with someones water butt which we had seen some permanent touring children doing !
I think its a shame we were allocated a bad spot because we enjoyed our stay which was made nicer by exceptional weather.
We couldn't have stayed at our tent for long periods at a time because of the nuisance of the permanent kids.

This site is ok! The actual tent area that we were in was good, ideal for the toilets and showers and about a 5min walk to the main road/ pool etc.
The children's playpark is a bit dated but ok and safe.
The swimming pool we felt was a bit expensive £3.50 for 1&half hours (and for spectating). Great for the young but no good for teenage/older (no deep end). At the start of your 1&half hr session there is sometimes a queue which could/did overflow outside (no good in the rain)! Only one little shower in the ladies changing room which was annoying.
The toilet/ shower block costs £20 for a key which is refundable when you leave but the whole system didn't work. I would not class them as that good or clean and children were still in them on their own without supervision.
We didn't go to club Trop because if you have children you have to sit at the back with not so good views.
The maid Marian pub we went in a couple of times but you can't go in with your dog.
Warden on touring site was very good and helpful.

The entrance is poorly signposted and the touring field and check in very hard to find.
The touring field is large, level, and as far away from the facilities as it is possible to be.
We paid £24-50 per night and got little enough for it.
There is one children's play area but it is way too far from the touring field for kids to go to it on their own and most seemed to play outside the toilets.
The toilet/shower block (key £20 deposit) had a permanently wet floor and no toilet paper.
The swimming pool has set session times, a first come first served policy, and cost £3-50 per head per session.
The clubhouse is closed during the day and cost £3 per head per day for entry in the evening and seemed to attract campers from every site within miles. Saturday was 'ticket only' so we couldn't get in anyway.
The site has a row of shops/ takeaways although these are across a busy road, but no cafe/restaurant facilities that we could find.
WE spent each day in Skegness, where there is a beautiful council run swimming pool( both indoor and out) and all the restaurants anyone could want.
We felt that, for what we got, we would have been better off on a smaller, cheaper site.

Just had a great three night stay at this site as its the end of the season it was really quiet but that's what we like. There are three large touring fields and only one toilet block so it could be a problem in high season. The showers were great(hot and free)only thing is the lights are on sensors so if you go to the toilet at night the lights may go out. There is a large playground for the kiddies but its a away from the touring field. Chaple st leonards has a few pubs that do food and there are loads of take aways, there is a club on site but we didn't try it. There is a bus stop outside the gate with a reliable bus service that takes you to ingoldmills / skeggness. You can walk to ingoldmills along the front it took us about 40mins.All in all a great place to say for a few days and I am sure we will be back next year

There are 3 fields for campers and tourers. The one we stayed in was very level and enough space for van, awning and car (nothing else)
The toilets/shower block were kept very clean at all times and water was free and hot. Only thing that spoilt the showers was there wetre no hangers or seats for your clothing and shoes.
Various bins dotted around the field but this just created a problem with the wasp season upon us. The biggest bin collection area was right outside of the toilets so everyone running around like idiots in front of the toilets (quite funny to watch)
The pools were of a good standard inside and outside but at £3.50 per person per day it can become quite expensive.
Entertainment at the Club Tropicana is OK but again £3 for adults and £1 for under 12's per night adds to the cost. The club is also sectioned so if you have under 12's your view of the stage isn't very good. There are numerous free entry pubs dotted around the surrounding area within half a miles walk.
There is a £20 deposit required for the key for the toilet/shower block. This means the whole family has to stay together as ther is only one key. Not a very good system.
The beaches around this area are excellent and very clean.
All in all, Skegness is a great entertaining place for a holiday and there are too many sites to compare but this one is fine in general. I would go back if visiting this area again.
