Camp receptionist very helpful, speaking good English.
Pitches are terraced and not very accessible for large motorhomes [7. 5m +]
Split my bumper getting out.
Site needs some maintenance in terms of general vegetation clearance - lots of overgrown edges of pitches, with weeds etc.
Lake very nice for a swim.
Restaurant service very slow - took an hour to serve Schnitzel and chips !
Facilities were fine and acceptable.
Nice area with cycle path by the lake, into town.

A nice site right on the lake, but all the pitches are terraced with very steep access roads which would be impossible to access with a large motorhome or caravan.
The facilities are clean but the overall maintenance of the site is very poor with weeds etc growing, everywhere some of which were a couple of foot high so they had not been cut for a while.
The lady in reception is extremely friendly & very helpful, she also speaks excellent English & offers excellent advice on the local area, which cannot be said for the staff in the bar/restaurant, they would definitely rate as the most ignorant & un-friendly we have ever come across, so much so that we upped & left & decided to walk the 2km along the lake into town for a drink & a bite to eat.
Motorcycles & scooters are completely banned from the site, we bring a scooter with us & had to park it outside the site overnight, we were not even allowed to park it in what we felt was a secure area beside reception.
We stayed for less nights than we originally planned & found a lot more user friendly sites in what is indeed a very beautiful & friendly country

Lovely location, every pitch overlooks the beautiful lake.
The facilities were always immaculate and appeared to be constantly cleaned. The 50c charge for the showers is annoying (why can't they just charge 50c extra per night?), but 5 mins was plenty and they were hot enough (and adjustable). The on site bar/ restaurant was nice and well priced. Nearest supermarket is in Neustadt (5 miles).
The site is on a hill, but the pitches are flat, although very rocky (take spare pegs). We found the site very friendly, and made plenty of friends.
The playground has seen better days, but I'm sure they'll update it soon.
We'd return for sure, and 22 euro's a night is ok considering the time of year and location.

We stayed here in early September for 2 nights.
The site was quite busy considering the time of year and had a comfortable atmosphere, although our fellow campers did not appear as friendly as in other sites, however I would put this down to Titisee being VERY touristy!
When you arrive, you are given a map of the site and asked to go and pick a pitch and then come back and sort out your stay. This meant we got to stay exactly where we wanted to be which I prefer to being allocated a space.
Our pitch was pleasant with a lovely view across the lake towards the church. It was particularly beautiful at night with the lights of the town on the water.
The toilets and showers were clean and tidy, but there was a 50c charge for 5 mins in the shower.Which did not really get hot enough for me.But then I am a but of a wuss!
There was a private beach, restaurant, shop, play area for the kids and it was a short walk to town.
The surrounding area is wonderful and we were lucky enough to be there when Rossfest (festival of Black Forest horses. And beer. And sausages!) was on (every 3 years) at St Margen (north of Titisee). We had a fabulous day out and the sun was blazing!
Titisee itself is small, neat, but clearly a tourist mecca. There are plenty of boats for hire and lake tours amongst a myriad of other activities both on water and on land. I can imagine it is heaving with people in the summer!
The price was not too bad and the campsite was fine but I would be unlikely to stay there again as Titisee was just too touristy for me - no pleasing some eh?!

Good remote site but small tight pitches all with electric only and very tight road turns - all terraced so good views across lake Titisee - near railway line regular large trains to Schluchsee which run along the back edge of the site - but peaceful site generally - satellite reception reduces the further up the hill you pitch due to the forest. Good facilities toilets/ showers / laundry / beaches/ boat hire etc. Food/bar and shop on site but generally quiet.
Nice area.
