Robbie is brilliant. Just don't expect too much in the way of showers etc and you will be well looked after. The address details given are not too helpful as the New Polzeath, St Minver and the Post Code are all in different places. If you try PL27 6QX the campsite you are looking for is on the right away from the sea. Sometimes you can use the field further back on the road with the mast in it. Very quite this field.
We arrived in Polzeath on a busy sunny summer day and stumbled across Robbie Love's campsite by accident after struggling to find anywhere else that had space for us for one night. We found Robbie, who was very friendly and said we could stay the night for £10 (2 adults and 2 children). He directed us to a lovely field with a sea view, a tipi and only a handful of other campers.
The facilities were pretty basic, quite a few toilets but we didn't find any hot water. There may have been some but we didn't really need to look as we were only there for one night. I did notice that there was a little cafe in a static caravan next to Robbie's office.
There is a lovely footpath that takes you straight down to the beach 10-15 min walk depending on if you have children with you or not!
The site had lots of static caravans and seemed to have quite a community of people who lived there probably most of the summer. It was friendly, cheap and great for a night. It wasn't the most child friendly campsite but great for students etc.
