Stayed on this site about 4 years ago and I've just returned

May I say what a great improvement it is

Brand new toilet and shower block and they also have static vans to hire out which we stayed in one

All the facilities you could wish for

The grounds are well maintained and what we liked they did not accept single males which made it great for naturist couples

Have just returned from a weekend at Wrekin View Naturist site and this is one of the best sites we have stayed at.

Facilities are excellent, clean and very well kept, will be even better when the new toilet block is completed. Hot Tub and Pool area are excellent.

Thanks to all for the friendly welcome, will definitely return soon.

What a fantastic site. We were greeted at the gate by the chairman, a real down to earth chap his wit and humour took away all our nerves as this was our first time at any Naturist Club.

We were shown round, at the club they have a fantastic club house with TV and Pool table. When we were there they were just finishing off a fantastic looking new toilet and shower block.

The hot tub was absolutely fantastic and beautifully clean. Everybody we met were so friendly. We will definitely be returning to this site.

Booked in at this site at short notice, glad we did.

What a lovely friendly lot they are. Very prim and proper lovely little gardens around the vans, gras pitch was nice and flat, if a little sloping. Toilets and showers were very clean, large fully equipped kitchen for campers to use, lounge to sit in, nice pool but didn't brave it even though the weather was great.

Little bit difficult to locate but once there its well worth it. We had our little girl with us, who is autistic, everyone loved her and took the time to talk to her. Glen even brought my wife a cple of beers as we missed the shops. All in all a very pleasant stay, we weill certainly book a return visit here.

Thanks for a lovely break.

A lovely friendly site where we were made very welcome throughout our whole Easter break.

We had no problems finding the site and the camping area, although small is flat and open. The toilet block is a short walk to the camp centre 70m away. These were small and dated but kept very clean and were split by gender with two toilet cubicles and a single shower in each block. There was another shower in the recreation block but we were told these were not as good as the main showers so we didn't try them. Open plan mixed showers would have been easier especially with younger children.

The main cottage has great facilities which were available for campers to use which include a large gas stove, fridge/freezer, kettle and microwave. There is a log burning fire which heats the dining room and adds great atmosphere. Hot and cold water makes the washing up much easier than usual when camping.

Upstairs is a small room with a small selection of games for the children to use.

The swimming pool is naturally heated and so was freezing cold when we visited and although we tried it the children could hardly breathe it was so cold. The hot tub was a great feature and we thoroughly enjoyed using it but the kids were not allowed as too young.

The children's play area has been removed and so there is nothing for the children to do if you stay on site. The majority of the members are retired so there are no young visitors and therefore no children for the kids to play with. Our children were very disappointed.

We joined in the evening entertainment which was a film night (over 16s) one night and a beetle game the next night which the children really enjoyed and were made very welcome.

Overall a great little hide-away and a very pleasant stay but very limited for the young ones.

This was our first visit to a Naturist campsite, and what a wonderful place it turned out to be! Not easy to find I must say, good old Googlemaps sent me the wrong way as usual (maybe it's time to get satnav. ), but a nice man at The Bear pub in Hodnet put us right via his smartphone while we relaxed with a couple of coffees. (The food in The Bear is excellent, too).

The turning to Wrekin View is hidden away as it angles the wrong way for the (very small) sign to be seen in one direction, but once you know it's there it's easy. A clever system involving two locks on the drive gate keeps it all nice and private from idle wanderers.

We were shown round by two lovely people who are regulars there (whom I can't identify more's the pity, suffice it to say B & B you were so kind to us over the week you deserved the box of chocs we gave you!), and the more we saw of the layout the more we fell in love with the place. Open areas lead to more secluded spots ideal for the shy beginners such as us, there are a few woodland walks, areas for games, areas to just relax, and a swimming pool with a most Heath Robinson style solar heating arrangement that I believe does work though we didn't get a chance to try it due to the weather - you have to have at least some sun for solar power.

Crin Cottage itself (around which the campsite is based) is a treat - a kitchen with a six ring stove, a woodburner in the lounge, a big table and lots of chairs, if you don't fancy cooking on your little camping stove all this is available to you for use free of charge!

Behind the cottage is a clubhouse with pool table etc, and to one side the showers and toilets. As this place is run more or less on a voluntary basis by the enthusiasts that go there it's nice if you help to keep it clean, but this is no more than you might do in your own home. The facilities are good though a little old but there was talk when we were there of an imminent rebuild.

There is no shop on site but Hodnet is only a short drive away, and Crin does have a couple of big fridges so don't worry about your coolbox.

There are static caravans on the site used by the regular members, and as a couple of sharp bends in the drive mean they can't get the more modern, long 'vans into the site if you are an enthusiast of old style caravans you'll love looking round the place. A lot of the members have added little solar powered twinkling lights to the small gardens outside their caravans so when it gets dark it is quite enchanting.

Everyone we met was friendly and relaxed and we felt at home straight away. They have a mix of pitches with and without electric hookups, the prices charged for pitches are superb value, and we can recommend this place with the exception of one thing. It's too far away from Hampshire!

Oh, one more thing, if you're called Brian you'll fit in well - there seems to be loads of them.

Crin Cottage and B and B we hope to see you again soon, we loved it!

Having read the other comments we where very disappointed with this site, its is a very nice site with gardens and views but very dated facilities let this club down. The site needs updating (hence the low prices),there is no where to sit like a lounge area with nice seating would be good also T. V where campers without electric hook up could use if weather is bad. The cottage is like a time warp back to the 50s on the good note a pool table was found in the club house but no other member were about after 9pm all tucked up in their caravans there are a lot of old members there. Where told that they have some younger members but they where not about that weekend if they want people to visit and return they need to give the club a make over would return if the facilities are updated.

Just like the previous reviewer says, it is a lovely site in a very picturesque setting. The pool looks lovely and will be a great spot when the weather is good.

Everyone on site was very friendly and welcoming, the morning and afternoon tea-breaks are a great tradition and help you to meet others on site.

If you are new to naturism the atmosphere is very relaxed and non-judgemental. You can find a quiet spot to be by yourself and join in as much as you are comfortable with.

The site is kept immaculately clean and there is a large, well equipped kitchen for use by anyone. There is a lovely, short walk through a wooded area with badger setts and rabbits, woodpeckers and lots of other birds including pheasants.

All in all a great site and one I definitely hope to revisit soon.

Oh, and it is remarkably cheap too!

Wrekin View is a lovely friendly Naturist site, set in beautiful countryside. It consists of a cottage which is used as the club center (with a fully stocked kitchen, general room and a children's playroom) There is a solar power heated outdoor swimming pool, tennis court, and boules area, children's play area and lots of woodland to take a walk in. The members of this club are extremely friendly (there's even a guy who gets up early and buys your morning papers from the local village shop and eggs from the local farm)

The site has about 15 static vans and pitches with 4 electric hook ups and an additional 10 or so unserviced pitches. The lane leading to the site is along some narrow country lanes with one 'challenging corner' for a 23 foot caravan (although one member came down to make sure we got round ok) and the area for touring vans has a few tree trunks that make parking up rather difficult. (I think these will be removed before long)

All in all this a a great site for those who want to get away from it all. Loads of wildlife, nice people, its the way to really chill out the naturist way and its 'well cheap' ! Well recommended !
