Stayed here for the weekend with my 10 yr old. Lovely small site, excellent clean facilities. It was just us on the first night which was great. Only 3 pitches, meaning peace and quiet! Slight amount of noise from the road but not enough to disturb your sleep. There is a footpath the other side of the road which follows the river. Excellent views.
Overall very impressed. Will be back.

We stayed at this site whilst attending a wedding in the area, and decided to make a weekend of it.
It's a lovely small site, very cosy with just a few pitches but has great facilities - a toilet and shower each for men and women. It also has a comprehensive covered outdoor kitchen area with a few essentials that can be borrowed to serve food with.
It is close to the road, but it's not a busy road at night. There's good walks to be had nearby too and you can walk cross-country to the nearby Llangoed Hall (which was handy as we'd left our car there the night before after the wedding!).
There are only a handful of pitches, so you'll need to book early. Friends of ours stayed in the B&B and said the rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast (though vegetarian) was very good.
We'll definitely return!

Stayed at this wonderful site for 2 nights and had very mixed weather but this in no way detracted from our enjoyment, we were made to feel welcome,
The showers and toilets are the cleanest I have come across, fire buckets provided and huge pitches ensure privacy from other campers,
Lovely shelter provided for eating semi al fresco in inclement weather, the whole site is managed with care and attention to detail,
This must be one of the best sites in Wales if not the UK.

I am from California and have never camped in this country until last weekend. I have a 2 1/2 year old and was terrified of camping in the rain. I can tell you even though it did rain for a couple of hours one morning it was one of the best camping experiences I have ever had, here and in California.
We camped right next to the stream and in my opinion there is nothing that makes me sleep better than the lovely sound of the stream all night!
The campground was amazing. Not only was it beautiful and so well looked after but they had an outdoor kitchen fully stocked with everything you could possible need in case you have forgotten something at home. Two full bathrooms with showers that were ALWAYS clean even though the campsite and bunkhouse were full!
The owners were so so so sweet and accommodating! The first night after having driven 4 hours to get there we ordered a couple pizzas from the B&B for £5 each and Alastair delivered them to our campsite! We were able to buy firewood for the fire pit and ice creams and such to make our trip that much more like a proper vacation.
Nicky and Alastair provide each campsite with a picnic table, a fire pit and if needed a portable bar-b-que free of charge.
I could go on and on telling you about this wonderful find and the amazing waterfalls we hiked to but I think everyone should really check it out for themselves, they will not be disappointed!
Thank you for the amazing time, we will be back next summer for sure!

We stayed for a weekend at this site with our small dog in tow. A lovely site with nice private areas for camping. You have the choice of 2 main areas to camp,1 right by the beautiful stream or the second is slightly higher up a small hill. We chose to camp in the 'higher'area so the dog wouldn't chase the chicken and ducks by the stream. Nice clean toilet facilities,it has 3 toilets and 2 showers,we never had to queue. There is also a small kitchen area with everything you need,a small cooker, plates, dishes, cutlery, sink etc. Owners were very friendly without overdoing it. Fire pits were provided for free with an option to buy bags of wood for £5. Lovely surrounding areas to walk around.
However, although the site and surroundings were beautiful, the noise was not! There is 1 main road which runs alongside the site and it is very noisy.
A lovely site, but because of the noise, unfortunately I wouldn't return. (yes,i could've camped by the stream, but that is also quite a gush and I had visions of needing the loo all night!)

It was the Hay on Wye Literary Festival and the Vegetarian B+B, Bunk barns and campsite were full. It did not feel at all crowded and even with the limited toilet facilities, 3 toilets and 2 showers, we did not really have any problems.
The couple who run the site were really friendly and helpful even though they were very busy with the B+B especially. There are ducks and chickens which were very entertaining. They loved our scraps.
There is a drying room and also available is a fridge. I was even found a socket for my hairdryer when I asked. You can book breakfast at the B+B and they also do evening meals on request. You could also order a mediteranean Veg pizza to take away. It was great being able to have a real fire.
In the B+B there are books and other bits and bobs for sale. You really should go into the old dunnekin if only to read the poem on the door.
The only downside was noise from the A470 which is quite close but it didn't disturb us at night. Some lovely walking straight from the campsite. Nice Morrisons at Brecon. We will definitely go back.

This site is a little gem. The site is in a fabulous spot by a river and is well laid out so all the pitches have enough space. We especially liked the picnic tables by each pitch and the really good fire pits. Decent facilities, these are shared with the bunkhouse so may be a bit of a wait for showers when the site is busy. The owners are friendly. Good base for Brecon Beacons and the Wye Valley, especially if you are hiring canoes from Glasbury.
