 We have just had the most wonderful holiday here. We found it almost by accident by following the little yellow signs for 'camping a la ferme' from Saint Livrade sur Lot.
The owners Yolande and Jan were the most friendly, helpful and welcoming hosts you could ask for, we felt more like guests rather than customers. The facilities, especially the pool were fabulous especially considering were were on a farm and the price was comparable to municipal sites in France without pools, 15 euros per night for 2 + 2 ina tent was very good value compared to other sites we'd been to in the area. They did have hook ups but we didn't need one and used the campsite fridge and freezer. The pitches were lovely spots overlooking a pond with ducks, geese and fish for fishing. The goats, pot bellied pig and shetland pony sometimes roam freely and are very friendly and keep their distance if you shoo them away. Most pitches have the shade of one of the many weeping willows, perfect for lunch time picnic shade between swims.
You can order your morning delivery of the most srumptious baguettes and croissants on earth. Shops, supermarkets and a breath takingly fabulous Friday market are a 5 min drive away in St. Livrade sur Lot.
This was such a lovely place and there was so much to see and do in the area we ended up staying for a second week instead of heading to the coast as planned. Overall a lovely,welcoming,child friendly, great value small farm site which will remain our family favourite for quite a long time, I think!
