It’s now £22 to park and no concession on food or drink,
We had about 6 drinks and ordered food, which I would only class as cheap pub grub.
The car park is level and no problems,
The bridge to get in is very narrow so be careful

Please note we have been advised that this site has permanently closed, and no longer offers camping, motorhome or caravanning pitches. The pub itself is still open. If you know that this situation has changed in the future, please could you let us know. Many thanks

The entrance to the site is very tight, across a narrow bridge I have a 4 x 4 and twin axle caravan, so the only way is to reverse into the static van site opposite but it is still very close 25mm off the n/s !
If you want to go for a drink in the pub, don't bother! It's just for food really with people eating at tables right up to the bar. The service is poor and the steak was so tough they decided not to charge for it.
It is a no frills site, with no electric but that's ok. Only £15 is a little steep for very little. Will not return

The campsite is a field at the rear of the Trout Inn, Lechlade. Its described by the management as 'rough' camping and that's exactly what it is. Its a no frills mowed field with a water standpipe and a 'rustic' toilet in an out building of the pub, the flat cost was £10 for a motorhome.
We really liked the site, and for boaters its perfect but its important to be aware of its limitations of this back to basics no frills field.
Access is through the car park at the back of the pub and across a narrow wooden railed bridge, I needed to take the boat off the motorhome to get through because of limited room to swing in. You check in at the bar and get a rules list. You can pitch where ever you like and the whole field is fairly level, one end of the field appears to be a micro boatyard.
But despite its limitations its great for any kind of boating, the slipway is right in the field and its possible to launch boats upto 6m quite easily.
The pub is like the field, about 20 years out of date, but compared to a chain pub it was a breath of fresh air. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was home cooked, around £50 for 2 course meal and drinks for 3 people.
We will happily visit the site and pub again.

Please note this is just a basic field campsite, with no facilities. Do not contact if you require toilets, showers etc.
