Stayed 3 nights on this quiet site, mainly to do Northallerton parkrun.
£15 / night inc EHU. There are no facilities except toilets when pub is open and CDP is via a manhole. Drinking water is available.
Hosts were very friendly and helpful when we got our moho stuck on the grass.
Ate in the pub twice and the food was tasty and reasonably priced. Also a good selection of real ales. The pub does not allow dogs.
Not much to do from immediate vicinity of site but we managed a couple of nice bike rides. We visited Kipling Hall and Mount Grace Priory, which are both recommended.

A nice quiet little site that can only accommodate 4/5 units. Part of the pub grounds, it is handy for a pint and a meal. The food is excellent and plentiful at a reasonable cost.
The host is very welcoming and helpful.
Although there are no showers on site, the toilet facilities are good and clean.
Well recommended for a visit

We have just stayed here for the weekend as it was my birthday. WE being, me wife son daughter son inlaw and 2 grand children. I was totally amazed at how welcome we were all made to feel, and to be honest it was what we expected and more. We paid £14 per night with ehu and was really impressed. Toilets are the pub toilets and are kept open 24 hr for campers, chemical disposal is available so the site really does has everything you could need.
fantastic site and great owners can't wait to come back.
Only two matters of concern, No1 my phone signal was nil and wifes was very poor at best, ( a plus for us wanting a quiet weekend away to be honest), hence having poor phone signal goes hand in hand with limited tv reception this was hit and miss but we were only there for the weekend and spent both nights at the bar, (and we aren't drinkers) concern
No2 field pitches we muddy and water logged ( so was our other four sites we have stayed at around yorkshire ) we managed to pitch on the edge of the car park which was perfect. Owners have no control over the weather and the past 3 or 4 months must have been the wettest on record. Fantastic little gem of a site which we will be returning to for sure, extremely pleasant and accommodating owners which only adds to the pleasure of staying at this site. Keep up the hard work.

A lovely quiet site situated at the rear of the pub
The landlord and landlady are very friendly and gave us such a warm welcome
The food and drink from the pub is unbeatable, with loads of choice and generous portions
The surrounding area is full of lovely interesting places to visit, market days are on Saturday, both in Thirsk and Northallerton and offer everything you would expect from a traditional Market
Well worth booking onto this site

We spent 2 nights at this site and loved it. The area is lovely, lots of walks. The site is as described previously, the toilets are the pub toilets which are kept open for campers 24/7, very clean.
We booked last minute and used the site as a stop over on the way to Scotland, but were really pleased we had decided on 2 nights. The owner was very friendly and greeted us on our arrival and we had a choice of pitches.
We had dinner in the pub and cannot recommend it enough. The food was amazing, lots of it and really good value, we recommend the black pudding starter, it was fab!
We would certainly recommend this site, worth joining the CC for.

The Crosby Public House was chosen as its a CL site at a small village near Northallerton. We chose it at random and the owners took our booking on the phone and explained how to find the site. Even though its at the back of the Pub it is absolutely silent at night and so dark its so relaxing. The pitches are part grass and just one hard standing but the Landlord had marked up our pitch and we hooked up and helped ourselves.
The village is just a couple of roads so we went for a walk and then into The Crosby for a pint. Now the best bit. We had already eaten but 'couldn't help noticing' the lovely meals passing our table on the way to diners. The Landlord and Landlady ( Chris and Moira Robson) are lovely hosts and we will be back but next time will eat in the Pub. We used our own shower so didn't see the facilities which are part of the Pub as its a CL site. They also have a large field which would be great for rallies and camping.

Caravan club CL located to rear of village pub. Stayed one night on the way north to the Lakes. Very convenient to the A1 just a short distance from the junction with the A66
Grass pitches with EHU. Level pitches at top of field but slope down to second field is restricted to 4 x 4. Very friendly and helpful owners. Pub food and beer excellent. Very handy to walk just across the car park back to the motorhome. Access to the pub loos available 24/7

A Camping Club CL site half way between Thirsk and Northallerton just off the A168 in a little village, Thornton le Beans. Access to the caravan area is via the PH car park. The site is well maintained kept clean and tidy. There are two caravan areas a top field and a bottom field these fields are divided by a steep bank with trees on the top section proving shelter. The site generally enjoys the sun but there are shady areas. The bottom field can be quiet wet and not suitable in periods of wet weather for caravans. The landlord will advise you where to site the caravan. The pitches on the top field are a little small if you need a full awning but are quite suitable for a caravan and sun canopy. There is adequate car parking either on the PH car park or at the side of your unit. There are sufficient EHU’s and if an extension lead is needed the landlord has been known to loan these free of charge. Drinking water is supplied by a stand pipe recessed in the trees near the concreted area. The toilets are located within the pub but not restricted to opening hours. There are recycling facilities on site. A sloping concrete area can be used as a hard standing note that levelling chocks are needed for that pitch.
The Crosby is a very pleasant, friendly village pub with locals and caravanners mixing well. For those that enjoy a good beer the pub serves Hambleton beers and the beer has always been in excellent condition when I have the opportunity to do some sampling. I can also thoroughly recommend the restaurant for excellent food, excellent service, and the prices are very reasonable. The only downside to the pub /restaurant is that it is closed on Mondays! Part of the enjoyment of this site is the friendliness and helpfulness of the landlord and landlady, Chris and Moira.
This is an excellent area for walking or generally touring around the beautiful area of North Yorkshire. Northallerton is just 3 miles away a thriving market town, with a couple of supermarkets with a street market on Saturday and Wednesday, there is adequate parking in the town but a disc parking scheme is in force. In my opinion this is a gem of a site, very peaceful, very quiet.
I’ve used this site on many occasions and will continue to do so. It is quite well used, especially at weekends, so it’s worth ringing to book a pitch in advance.
