Spent 4 nights at this gem of a site. It is a working farm, so if the normal sights sounds and smells of farm animals and machinery offends you then this site is not for you, but if you love a bit of peace and quiet in the countryside and would enjoy the above, then give this place a try! Where else can you find a heated pool at a small (max 5 caravans) site? Perfect for hubby who doesn't like large loud commercial sites and for the kids who wanted a pool. Well hidden away so you will need the directions given in the caravan club site book. ( not in the club site index, so you will have to wade through the Hampshire sites pages to find it!) (Look out for Purley Way more or less opposite and turn in by the post box) Friendly family, beautiful surroundings and a heated pool & sauna with almost always just us in there made for a really relaxing holiday. Lovely Fish and chips from 'Sam and the frying machine' mobile fish and chip van if you are lucky enough to find him ( we found him at Nomansland next to the pub) great location for the New Forest, Paultons park and Beaulieu and even a trip over to the Isle of Wight from Lymington. We hope to get back there again as it will be a hard place to beat. Perfect and no complaints!

We've just spent a fantastic week at Pyesmead Farm with our 3 boys (6, 8 & 10). We simply booked into a conveniently located CL - we had no idea the treat that was in store!
What a fantastic family that run this site. We landed right in the middle of lambing season and yet they made ample time to settle us in. Next day the farmer came over and pointed us towards a ewe in the field lambing. Our boys got a ringside seat as they got to see the birth, and stay on until the lamb was on its feet.
Over the rest of the week we got the opportunity to hold lambs, bottle feed lambs, and the boys got to help out on the farm as much as they wanted mucking out and feeding the ewes.
When we managed to get the children away from the animals, we enjoyed the very nicely heated indoor pool. Most of the time being the only people in it. We also made it twice to their fishing lake where all 3 of our boys managed to catch a fish.
We also enjoyed several outings into the New Forest cycling and down to the coast to catch crabs and walk by the beach.
The site seemed to attract many repeat campers and we can see why. We've already booked a return.
The facilities are simple and all that you would expect from a CL.
Located a few hundred yards off the main A36 made the site a treat to tow to. The lane was in better condition than most farms.
Highly recommended and definitely worth a try! This is the highest we've ever rated a site.

Having recently taken up caravanning again after 12 years we decided to stay local for our 1st trip away to test our new 10 year old caravan. Pyesmead Farm is only 7 miles away from our home so was ideal for a 4 night stay. We were made very welcome by the owners Tina and Dave who allowed us to pick our own spot in the 2 acre field. Very level and plenty of space with lovely views over the farmland with two fishing lakes on site should you wish to use them. The indoor swimming pool is an added bonus which was kept immaculate. This is a working farm so do not expect it to be spotlessly clean everywhere but if you love animals as we do you should see cows and sheep in the adjoining fields. Ideal for the New Forest, Salisbury etc and even though it is only a 7 mile trip for us we will certainly be visiting again and would highly recommend this C. L.

We came here with a few friends and family, we were extremely happy when we drove onto the site,
The location, surroundings, lake and welcome were more than expected and we had a great week.
We have travelled extensively with our tourer all over the UK, and can honestly say that Pyesmead Farm is in our top 3 5 cls.
Will return again next year, Thanks
Gareth, Caroline, Robyn and Charlie, plus the ferret.

Very disappointed. Approach drive is very rough and potholed. Farmyard filthy with thick mud and cow manure. Chemical waste drain is at back of cow sheds and you definitely cannot get to it without wellies! Field had been used recently for sheep and was a terrible mess, admittedly the rain hadn't helped matters. Also several stored caravans on site plus various farm machines made it look rather uncared for.
Good points:
Good pub, The Shoe Inn, just at end of drive, well worth a visit.
Also, good location on the northern edge of the New Forest.

We have recently visited this CL and we absolutely loved it. This site is a working farm and so yes there was some farm machinery around and a stored caravan (not abandoned). The farmer asked if we would like to bottle feed some new born lambs morning and evening and this really added to the enjoyment of our stay.
The fishing lake is wonderfully peaceful and although we stayed in a field surrounded by sheep we really enjoyed it. This is a working farm though so it may not be suitable for everyone.

We were disappointed with this CL. The location is very good for accessing the New Forest, being on the A36 and just a few miles from M27. Access instructions in the CC handbook are misleading, in that the phonebox mentioned as a landmark no longer exists.
The track up to the site is very potholed, and ends at a rather shabby collection of farm buildings. Maybe were unlucky on our visit, but it appears that the CL uses two fields alternately: while one is being grazed by sheep, the other is used. Unfortunately, the field we were on was deep unmown grass - thankfully it was dry on our visit.
This field also accommodated some abandoned farm machinery and a seemingly abandoned caravan.
