The pitches are variable in size and the gravel standings are very well drained. We had a very violent storm whilst here and there were no problems
The sanitaires are getting tired. Hooks missing from the shower cubicles, screws missing from lock plates, over sink lights often not working. However very hot water in basins and the washing/washing up area.
The grouping of the pitches into zones or rooms mean that you may need extension cables to reach the electric socket.
We only used this as a stopover so did no cycling or sight seeing. The large Le Clerc, very close by also has fuel. Access maybe difficult for motorhomes.
Very pleasant staff and the site is on our “might use again” list as it is very convenient for the A20

Easy site to find off the A20, located within 300 metres of a large Le Clerc supermarket and petrol station although would not want to negotiate it with the caravan on the back. Pitches are level compacted gravel. Several toilet blocks with good facilities, the showers are only luke warm though and loo paper is required. Water is within 10m of the pitch and waste water at the chemical toilet point in the ablutions. Very helpful in reception. Excellent stopover for heading north or south.

Previous reviews are extensive and sum things up very well. Some reviews on ACSI are less complimentary but we found everything perfectly ok on our visit. The Le Clerke supermarket is fairly new and is massive. At reception they allocate pitches. I specified a requirement for a good view to south-east for sky dish reception and also a preference for some shade. Although the site was busy, we were allocated a pitch that ticked the boxes. Pool not open on 15 June but work ongoing to have it opened (early)
There are extensive walking and cycling tracks around the fenced off lake and adjacent large woodlands. Good quality tracks and relatively flat. Busy with one nighters in transit but suitable for longer stays. Not a picturesque site but adequate enough. Wifi works throughout site but really slow. At €1 per night per device it's ok. Think it's €15 pn with ACSI.

We stayed overnight at this camping on our way south and on our return. We arrived to find the barrier down but the warden lives on the site and answered his doorbell!
We were given an ACSI emplacement with electricity @ €15 per night. There is a basic shop where you can order bread. Also there is a nice restaurant close-by open 7/7 that remains serving until late. Easy to access from the autoroute, supermarché and fuel close by. Internet connection poor. Facilities ok but need a make-over. Would use again.

To Find Site:- Leave A20 at junction 31 and take Boulevard Robert Schuman towards Limoges. At first roundabout take second exit continuing on Boulevard Robert Schuman. Take slip road with campsite sign and then take Avenue Louis Armand around the head of the lake. Take next turning right by Novotel Hotel and follow Avenue d’Uzurat round to campsite entrance.
Camping d’Uzurat is situated in a semi urban environment in parkland with many mature trees on the edge of Limoges and is open from mid-March to the end of October making it useful for early and late season travellers. You get an excellent welcome from the gentleman on reception who speaks excellent English and is very keen to give you information on visiting the City. We arrived at the site on the 1st October so well out of season so the review reflects that point. There are about 140 touring pitches plus some mobile homes. Unusually for France the majority of the pitches, about a hundred, have what might be described as hardstanding/all-weather bases as they have a layer of stone chippings which is very useful for early/late touring. The arrangement of the pitches is a little unusual in that the two pitches onto the site road have a short access road between them giving access to two further pitches behind. The pitches are divided by low fence panels. They vary size wise but most are quite generous. As an observation the pitch layout could make the site feel quite crowed when full? Electric points are convenient to all pitches and use CEE17 blue connectors rated at a useful 10 amps. All pitches have access to a water point which would allow direct connection although during our stay not all of them were on. There are small drains at each water point site but I doubt they are designed to take waste grey water, for this you would need to either use the chemical emptying points at the toilet blocks or the motorhome service point, the latter also having a chemical disposal point and good access for motorhome. There are two toilet blocks of a good standard and contain pedestal seated toilets but don’t have toilet paper in the cubicles. The dishwash sinks had a good supply of hot water but were a bit short on draining space. The site has a small swimming pool. For children there is a small playground although the park next door is much better equipped with play equipment. There is site wide WiFi at a very modest cost. Reception has a wealth of information on the local area and bread can be ordered. Given its location there can be some traffic noise at certain times of day but we did not find this intrusive and will vary depending on where you are pitched. For 2016 the site will be in the ACSI Card discount scheme although even current fees are good value.
Whilst this site will often be used as a stopover because of its location near to the A20 it also makes a worthwhile short say site if you want to explore Limoges. There is a bus (service 200) from the main road about a ten minute walk from the site which takes you into the City Centre. For shopping there is a large supermarket even nearer although it seems not to be suitable for motorhomes as there are multi-storey car parks and height barriers. The fuel station is manageable with a motorhome but care is required because of fairly tight space on entry.

Again found this site by reading the reviews. We stayed for two nights and paid 24 Euros. The staff are so friendly and helpful that its unbelievable. Amazing service. The site is flat with hardstands with trees for shade. The toilets and showers are spotless and the water is steaming hot Theres a swimming pool, but it was closed down for the winter. The reception sold basic needs and a supply of very good red wine at a reasonable cost. Also in the reception was a good supply of leaflets for various attractions and they supplied bus timetables for the no 20 bus. This takes you into Limoges which is huge compared to the other places We visited in France.
Loads of stuff to see and do there.
What we were there for was to go to Oradour sur Glane. I'm not going to explain this place but everybody should go there and wonder why!
Site comes highly recommended

This was a stopover for our trip to the Canal du Midi. It is conveniently located, only a few minutes from the A20 motorway. The site is next door to a lakeland recreational area. There is also the remains of a Roman villa, within walking distance which is worth a look. The guy at the reception was incredibly friendly & helpful, stay as long as you like, we paid for the first night and stayed two. He spent time telling us what to visit in the town and how to get to the town. It was only 15euros off season, with electric hookup, the pitches were gravel and spacious and he gave us a choice of where we could pitch:mind you we were not like our French neighbours who moved pitch four times to get good satellite reception. There were a number of sanitary blocks, all very clean together with a motorhome service point. There is a large hypermarket within walking distance of the site. The bus no 20 leaves on the main road outside the site and for a couple of euros you can explore the town centre, (about 2 miles away) which is well worth a day's visit. You will not be disappointed by the town. We also visited Oradour sur Glane, the site of the infamous SS massacre in 1944, which is about 30 minutes away and has a large car park suitable for motorhomes. The old town at Oradour has been left intact, exactly as it was on the day of the massacre, as a memorial to those who died and you can not fail to be moved by the visit. This site is an inexpensive stopover or even for a slightly longer visit.
