Another visit to this lovely little site, greeted by the very nice volunteer wardens who make you feel very welcome.
I have been coming to this site since covid days and just love the back to basics feel that this campsite gives.
A short cycle or walk along the South Downs way and you will end up at the Firebird Brewery and the Milk Churn Cafe which does the best cheese on toast using their own farm produced Sussex Charmer cheese mmmm mmmmm

Another visit to this volunteer run CAMC campsite, again met by the wardens and assigned a pitch, came and checked everything was ok a couple of hours after setting up.
This site has no facilities other than EHU, water and waste disposal so you need to use your own kit.
All the other campers are friendly and chatty should you wish to ‘ chew the cud’ with them.
Pitches all level and well drained.

Volunteer run Caravan and Motorhome site, the campsite is located on an old railway sidings so is long and narrow with an industrial estate of a few units situated down the far end of the site.
There are no facilities here apart from EHU so you will need to use your own toilets and showers etc.
The site is well kept and the wardens are a very helpful friendly bunch.
The pitches are level and not on top of each other.
The site is located on the outskirts of a small village with a pub and local shop, however a large superstore is a 10 min drive away.
The site is right on the South Downs way with access from the site( great for cycling or walking)
There are no areas for dogs to walk on the site but just outside is the South Downs Way with bins either end of the campsite for dog waste.
Would I use it again, oh yes have just booked another 7 nights

As this is a C&MC site I booked direct and they did not take the payment, this was to be settled on arrival. I received detailed information for arrival, etc. And when I did arrive I was met by the friendly wardens who checked me, told me where the facilities, etc. Were and advised how I could get on to the track for walking, etc.
The site is a long strip nestled amongst trees, so if you are relying on solar you may struggle, however each pitch has electric on offer, however I did not plug in. All hardstanding and very level.
There are a couple of water and waste points in the site, but no other facilities, so bring your own toilet and shower.
Nothing for children, but there were a couple there who seemed very happy riding their bikes up and down the site.
The site is near the village and the local pub is about half a mile away, I did not drink there, but it looked nice from the outside.
Plenty of walking with direct access to the Downs Link from the site and I did a bit of walking, but I was here for a party at the Slinfold Gold Club, which was a short walk along the A29, just under half a mile in total.
There is an industrial estate next door, but as this was a weekend there was no noise at all from it.
Very friendly hosts, very reasonable price and a great site. I would return if in the area again.

Brilliant but basic site. No showers or toilets and no pot wash area. Great for these COVID times. Use your own facilities on board.
Clean site and near to village via a path onto the main road or via the downs link path.
Only down side was some noise from a local builders yard with wagons and stacker trucks beeping and they start work EARLY 6:30am. We were on pitch 11 and could hear it so those at the far end must have been really annoyed by the noise as they're opposite the gates over the fence.

Usual standard of Caravan Club, no facilities on site although the prices do not reflect this! Good walking from site and pleasant and helpful volunteer wardens. Stopped one night, would use again for one night stop. All pitches are electric, no play area or amenities for children. Built some 40 years ago on the site of railway sidings, therefore the ground is firm.
There is noise weekdays at the far end of the site from a factory.
The site was situated in a small village the local area shops etc are restricted but some are reached by a short walk as are the local pubs.

Just got back from 3 nts here. Its a volunteer run caravan club site - members only and just a tenner a night. The site is a former railway station sidings and so is long and narrow and tapers off at the bottom end, there are quite a few hardstandings at the bottom part of the site but we decided on a grass pitch with electric at the top widest part of the site. There are no toilet or shower facilities on this site so you need to be self contained. Its in a very pretty village with a good local pub/restaurant, drinks were a bit pricey though (we are from the North) £8. 50 for a pint of lager and a glass of Rose wine.
It has direct access onto the downslink cycle path which is very good for cycling and walking or horse riding although there are a few on side road sections or a steep uphill climb through the woods going the other way. Cranleigh is about an 8 mile cycle and is a nice town (great Indian restaurant which we went back to one night). A basic site with friendly wardens that change around every 2 weeks, would definitely go back again. J x
