We stayed at this site for a 1 night stopover on route from Austria to the ferry at Rotterdam. After a horrendous journey on the autobahn we received the warmest welcome we have ever had at a campsite. Within a couple of minutes of arriving we were sitting chatting to the owner, glass of wine in hand and all the stress of the journey disappeared! The site is quite quirky with some permanent plots that look like they have been there years alongside some ultra modern facilities such as the shower block. Our children thought the architect-designed tree house was fantastic. As we were there for just one night we were pitched on an 'easy stop' pitch which was exactly as described - very easy to get on and off and you don't even need to unhitch the caravan. The site is easy to find, we can't comment on the area for a longer stay but the immediate surroundings were very attractive among vineyards and also very quiet. The temperature was in the 30's when we were there and we had all the windows open at night in an attempt to get even the slightest breeze, we didn't hear a single sound -bliss! There is a restaurant on site which we also used, the portions were large and the food was fine. This site ticked all the boxes for a stopover with a few added extras that made it a very pleasant place to be! We are still working our way through the bottles of wine we purchased from reception which is great value and a nice reminder of our stay!

We recently stayed at Lindelgrund, one of the nicest sites we have visited. Super-friendly and helpful staff, owner speaks excellent English. Very quiet site, very good wifi, superb facilities.
The surrounding area is lovely, we had a thoroughly enjoyable visit to the castle at Rheinfels, and being motorsport fans also a day trip to the Nurburgring.
We enjoyed our stay and would thoroughly recommend the site.

We arrived at the site, for a 1 night stopover, as it was close to the A61 Autobahn. We had a very pleasant welcome at the small reception, which sold the local Rhineland wines. Also bread could be ordered for the morning. As the site was quiet we had the pick of pitches but chose one for our ease of parking our Motorhome. The pitch was of good size and divided by grape vines, with a very nice view of the surrounding hills. The toilet and shower blocks were immaculate. The showers operated by a token from reception, for 50 cents each and lasted only 3 minutes which was a bit of a downside. The site had a very good playground, which was used by tourers and the more permanent holiday huts which there were many. Also there was a small farm zoo, with rabbits and goats, which was good the keep the children amused.
I would certainly return to this site, probably only as a stopover, due to its isolation.

Called in here during a tour of Germany and stayed for 2 nights
The owner was very helpful. There was a folder he gave us to read which had extensive information on the site, the nearby area, walks and cycling routes - brilliant ! every site should have one ! bike hire also available. The area is very beautiful and the locals in Guldental were all friendly and helpful. Cycled to Bad Kreuznach which was a lovely interesting town.
Toilet and shower blocks excellent, not big but then its not a big site, I never had to wait. 50 cents for a shower, only 3 minutes but it can be paused, I didn't find it a problem
Its not a big site so I would recommend booking if possible.
I would recommend this site to anyone

This is not first time I visited this lovely, quiet place. I discovered it when I was travel fom London to near Stuttgart on my motorbike. Since then was there 3 times.
That was real relief after long trip. It is not far away from main highway.
Surrounded by trees and in a distance you can see vine hills. Beautiful sunset.
Everything you need toilets, showers(immaculate clean), dish washing facilities, little restaurant (cold beer), electricity, reasonable prices. Very polite stuff and as I so, there was playground for the kids too.
And most important-peace! That what I'm looking. Very recommended.
