Brilliant site with electric 10 amp and water on a hose if you are on pitch 1. Toilet is lovely and clean but no shower. 5 mins drive to park and ride at Straiton (parking is free) which also has IKEA, Sainsburys, Asda and a whole range over other outlets including eateries. Caravan and motorhome club members only, which is worth joining as its only £10 p night here!

This is a little jewel of a site, and my wife and I spent four most enjoyable nights here.
It has all the facilities one expects from a CL, and the the owners are very helpful and keep the facilities spotlessly clean. The pitches are mainly level, but present no problem for levelling off. If you want to leave your motorhome behind, there is a good bus service into Edinburgh, with easy connections further afield. Or you can walk in the district and in the nearby country park.
Would have no hesitation in recommending this site, either as an overnight stop or extended stay.

This is our second visit to this CL.
This is a fairly flat level site. It's fairly basic but there is a toilet and all the usual disposal points and all the pitches are hard standing. The site is very tidy with trees, hedges and flower beds all well tended.
This is a generally quiet site but it is next to a road which does bring occasional traffic noise during the day but we didn't notice any during the night.
The owner came to check with all occupants during our six-day stay that all was ok.
This site is reasonably close to a park and ride; only about 20 minutes drive from Edinburgh and at only £10 a night we will definitely be back again.

Have just returned from a lovely 4 night break at this site. We initially got lost getting to the site, using the cc route finder rather than the cc book, but once there really impressed.
We didn't find the entrance too bad, although once in the site if you were to meet a caravanner coming out I suppose you would have problems.
The site actually has 6 pitches, all with hard standing, but the pitches are on a slope, not a massive slope but we had no blocks too level the caravan so were on slope all weekend.
All pitches have hook up, whilst there is also a toilet that was spotless throughout our stay. There is a retail park with supermarkets 2-3 mins drive away, whilst there is also a park and ride for Edinburgh there.
Will definitely be stopping there again.

Small site on the outskirts of Edinburgh city with electric hook ups. We found the driveway a little tight for our outfit (8.5 mtrs approx).
The site itself is sloping and we thought that the pitches were rather small if you wanted to put up a full awning.
The site itself has a toilet but no shower.
Edinburgh Park & Ride is quite close in Straiton and at £2:50 for an all day travel ticket is great value. As Edinburgh is popular then I expect this site stays busy but sadly not for us.
