This site is worth the visit just for its great location with stunning views of Mont Blanc and the two glaciers below it directly overhead ! The site is very natural with lots of trees and bushes between emplacements and some open areas of grass too. There is also a glacial stream running through the site. This was just as well because the taps were all turned off due to the possibility of freezing at night. The facility for filling up our water tank was also non existent although we did notice some people running their hose from the toilet block - not ideal. However, thanks to our investment in a roll along water barrel and a Whale portable pump we were able to fill up from the stream. I had great fun with this - it was like being a kid again (longer ago now than I care to remember).
Our pitch was a large one as our motorhome is 25ft long and the electric hook up was close by. However, although the hook up was said to be 10amps it constantly tripped. The box was open so we just pressed the reset. This was however a real pain and in 15 days and six sites on our travels over this trip we did not have this problem anywhere else so we figured there is a problem with tempremental electrics on this site.
The toilet block is located at basement level under the reception / restaurant area. Everything is in here - UK style toilets (only 2 with seats), wash basins in cubicles, nice showers, washing up sinks and chemical disposal point. It is nicely heated which at night is good because it does get cold (particularly in April !). The toilet block was perfectly adequate - not luxurious by any means but certainly good enough for our 7 night stay.
In the Chamonix valley you pay a tourist tax and in return receive a visitor card giving some discounts but most usefully providing free bus and train travel through the valley area. There are bus stops within 5 minutes and 10 minutes walk of the site and the train station also within 10 minutes walk. This makes the site location really good for motorhomers.
We cannot recommend this site more highly than to say if you want stunning views in a stunning location then stay here.
Our only complaint was that the woman on reception was not at all friendly ; this was not a language issue it was just a case of poor attitude - what a shame because everything else was great.

A site with steep roads, pitches are on platforms with lots of trees but views are wonderful of Mt Blanc and the glaciers. Site is a sun trap during the day but the nights are very cold due to the glaciers.
Toilet blocks are clean and tidy and are heated for winter use. No shops nearby but a small restaurant/bar on site, reception friendly with some local information. Main road being reconstructed to duel carriage way, so entrance to site maybe improved off main road.
