A great spot with beautiful sea views and friendly fellow campers.

The site facilities are good value for money and the booking / checking process was seamless. Thank you!

The position of the site is fabulous above the beach with great views.

The site is quite basic but well maintained.

I received a friendly welcome and staff were helpful.

Two male and two female toilets and one shower for each.

The top part of the site is sloped but the lower part has nice, flat pitches.

My only criticism is of the washing up area. Only one very deep sink and not very clean.

Glorious views and extremely kind and helpful owners.

No bells and whistles but perfectly adequate and clean showers and loos, plus the bonus of a washing-up sink, all with lots of hot water at no charge.

We had a pitch in the lowest field, with nothing between us and the sea but a (reassuringly strong!) fence and a wildflower-strewn cliff slope.

Quite a scramble down to the beach but great for a morning dip, and wonderful sunsets over the sea.

Very quiet (apart from the donkeys, goats and chickens) and uncrowded even over the weekend -

We'd definitely return.

An unfussy site with spectacular sea views.

Terraced, with well-spaced pitches, mega sunsets & right on the coastal path.

Generous and friendly owner.

Great campsite with spectacular views looking across to Nefyn and Morfa Nefyn.

Facilities basic but very adequate and very friendly and helpful owners and not too expensive.

Right on the North Wales Coastal path with circular routes.

There is a good walk to the lost village of Nant Gwrtheyrn an old mining village and walks heading west to Nefyn and Tudweiliog

Free range eggs available and resident chickens that come and join in with your BBQ.

A laid back site without too many rules.

I saw this website and thought ‘looks amazing! Great reviews, perfect for us. ’ I should have heeded the warning when it was cash only payment.

The site itself is located high up and the view is just amazing.

The shower blocks are some something else. We left early as they are just disgustingly dirty. The same Dirt remained on the showers and was never properly cleaned. They smell and are in no way covid compliant. I can’t even talk about the toilets.

The owners them selves are nice enough, but I wouldn’t recommend this site to anyone. The tents were so close together that the guide ropes were touching our neighbours. Many of the campers on site complained heavily to each other. Don’t let the website fool you.

New shower facilities must have been added since the last reviews were written. Showers looked like a new addition, and although only one each male/female, they were spacious and relatively clean.

The site enjoys amazing views of this scenic coastline; the evening highlight was the beautiful sunset over the water.

The kids loved the animals on site. The owner invited them to feed the geese, goslings and chickens in the morning, which they really enjoyed - and even offered them fresh eggs (if only they hadn't tried to 'hatch' them by sitting on them)! The pony and donkeys also received a lot of attention.

Lovely stay.

A very friendly welcome from the owners. Nothing official, look for a spot and enjoy yourself. OK the toilets and showers are not top of the bill, but they are working on it.

But they have one of the finest views in Wales

I agree with all that Hippoh2003 says. But please don't let this stop you trying this lovely site. It must be one of the best value cliff top sites in probably the whole of the UK. We paid £13 per night for the two of us in a caravan with hookup in August. It was a quiet site and the showers were the hottest and fastest I have ever experienced. It has 3 camping fields which are on different levels. This means you really are only aware of the field you are in as the field in front is below and so cannot be seen and the field behind is behind trees and far above you. This did make the entry into the fields rather steep but they do have a landrover on site to help if needs be. Dave and Jackie are extemely friendly and helpful and it is a very laid back site. Children will love the animals. Highly recommended 9/10 only because some people would want it to be spotless, but this is a farm and it is to be expected.

We stayed at Penisarlon for three nights, on arrival our initial thoughts were 'this place could do with a serious upgrade in facilities'. The toilets and showers are in desperate need of redecoration and improvement, this would not cost a vast sum of money and would certainly improve the image. An enclosed washing facility would be beneficial as this would prevent the local chickens from messing on the drainer and sink. The upsides to this campsite are, hot water in the showers and washing area, the flexibility of where to pitch, electric hook ups, fresh eggs, hospitable hosts and the most incredible views out towards the Irish Sea. When I rang and spoke to Dave to make a reservation I asked for a sea view and that is most definitely what I got. Nearest shop/pub is in Nefyn approx a mile and half away. The campsite is on the coastal path that takes you to Morfa Nefyn. After three nights our initial thoughts remained with us but we would stay there again though just for the view.
