Awesome views, pitches not the best re level. Some grass, some stones.
Shower and toilet facilities adequate and clean.
Good base for touring the Mourne area.
We had the place to ourselves so got the best pitch with the best view. Stayed for two nights as a trial.
Next time will bring our Smart fortwo on tow to explore.

We visited The Rock as a group of seventeen senior citizens from a local sheltered housing scheme to have an evening meal.
Firstly the staff were absolutely brilliant taking our booking and making things as simple as possible.
They were very accommodating and had a lovely wood burning stove lit for us on our arrival.
The very friendly and helpful staff supplied a fabulous meal for us all, in fact we thought the food would never stop being served. Everything was home made and delicious and at a very reasonable price.
The facilities were extremely clean & tidy and our elderly group found no difficulties accessing the facilities.
We would go back in the blink of an eye and have recommended The Rock to all our other Schemes in Northern Ireland as a fantastic place to visit and an amazing place to eat.
The views are stunning and the whole atmosphere was terrific.

This is one of our favourite sites. Although it can't be a CL because there are often well in excess of five units, once we counted ten, it has all the charm of a beautifully positioned one.
There is a two berth shower room, which is always clean, and a coffee / ice cream shop on the site.
All the pitches on the lower three tiers have EHU, and all four tiers have a view down the valley towards the Irish Sea, where you can see St. Johns Point lighthouse winking at you at night, albeit well into the distance. The sun rises over the top of the mountains and on a bright summer day is something to behold.
Due to the location there are plenty of walks in the area, while there is a fine wee restaurant about four or five miles away towards Dundrum, passing through Bryansford.
Newcastle with its super beach and activities galore is a magnet for the children, and is a little over five miles away, I think from memory.
There are sights a plenty to drive to, not forgetting the Silent Valley, Spelga Dam, Tollymore Forest, and there is a good looking activity place just down the road. Quiet and peaceful, a hidden gem.
