 This site is situated very conveniently fo day visits to Nimes, Arles, the Camargue and the coast around La Grande Motte. The 'sanitaires' are clean and hot water is available. There is a shop and restaurant which were closed low season. The three nice looking pools were being prepared for use when we were there. HOWEVER this site does not have a large number of touring pitches as it is now around 95% statics as many were being installed when we visited. Popular as a night that halt. There is a Boulangerie up in the old village or one with parking just off the main road through. When approaching form the motorway be aware the main road through is quite narrow and could be a problem if you meet a large lorry, it is not possible to mount the pavement. We discovered that after crossing the narrow humped back bridge and turning left, you could take the first left then as you come to a junction take the one to left at about 10 o'clock and follow the road round past the railway station then keep an eye out for campsite signs. Acsi accepted, with 16 amp electric.

Don't be surprised if the name of this campsite translates itself into 'the almond tree', which is rather confusing, if not fully acquainted with such a culinary tree. I can fully recommend this campsite for its setting, which is conveniently positioned within easy walking distance of a very old but hardly touristic village. I gather it was originally a municipal campsite, but as with many good facilities, is now in private hands. The open air pool is one of the best. The campsite was relatively quiet, with mainly French campers scattered around. The same could be said of the nearby village, which appeared to open one minute and all closed the next, even the church! It does sport a small interesting bull-ring, but unfortunately a rest day for the bulls during our stay. The restaurant was closed but the owners did supply us with a adequate 15 euro meal including wine for which were are eternally grateful. For the tourist there are places to visit including the Camargue and towns around, both inland and coastal
