Lovely little site. Close to Harrogate for days out and with an Aldi close by for supplies.
Friendly owners.
No toilet block though which is a bit of a pain

We have just stayed on this site for 6 nights, it is a great cl site. Easy to get to, great views and the grass was well cut. The farm sells fresh eggs as well. We had a great stay. We shall go back when in the area. There are plenty of places to visit in the area and lots of walks. We also found lots of local pubs and tea shops.

My wife and I stayed here again having previously enjoyed our stay in 2010. We prefer the intimacy of a smaller site and selected this one for it's proximity to Harrogate.
This year was our first year visiting the Harrogate flower show so the site location was ideal. It is very easy to get to and find and in spite of the terrible weather we had no difficulty on the well watered grass pitches (the rain had been incessant for weeks).
I expected to have to ask the farmer to pull us off the pitch with his tractor, which he did with another couple and their caravan elsewhere on the site.
We opted for electric so we were very comfortable and well catered for having taken a microwave oven. The water tap was easy to use for filling our aquarolls.
The waste water disposal point was in an enclosed gated area and was as one expects on a non commercial site, it was easy to use and functional without being difficult and quite ingenious in it's design.
The farmer and his wife are very pleasant and helpfully, he assisted us with levelling on our arrival.
We weren't staying long enough for any excursions elsewhere but the nearest pub had closed down. But Harrogate is just on the doorstep so no problems for anything be it entertainment or culinary.
We will definitely return. It has to be noted that the site is a working farm. So don't expect any frills. The fresh eggs are delicious.
Also the main road is quite close but there is no difficulty with noise. The site is far enough away from it for comfort.

This is a basic CL on a busy working farm. The CL is open all year; however there are no hardstandings and the pitches are at the back of the field so it is very muddy during inclement weather. The farmer kindly provided an extension lead allowing us to park the caravan on a relatively dry spot. There are good views of the surrounding countryside. It is close to the busy A59 and Chain Bar Lane, so expect noise from both. There is a pub only a couple of hundred metres away on the A59, but we didn’t visit it and I can’t comment on the food or drink there. The farmhouse sells eggs (£1.50 for 6), but I got covered in mud from the friendly farm dog when I went to buy some! The chemical disposal point leaves a lot to be desired being a bin with a hole in the bottom placed over a drain. The toilet rinse tap is next to the drinking water tap so be careful not to get them confused!
One very good point to this site is the excellent road links from the M6 and easy access to the site from the A59. It is very handy for visiting Harrogate and beautiful Knaresborough- highly recommended. Parking in Harrogate is expensive but cheap in Knaresborough.
