Planned to stay for a few days and stayed for 2 weeks.
Site is terraced and some of the turns onto the terraces are quite steep, which meant a number of motorhomes that drove around and not walked around first, grounded their tails. Alternative routes possible to avoid grounding out.
Main dual carriageway very close but noise from it was not a problem. Site is next to a residential area with residents and and their dogs, some of which seem to bark all night!
We moved onto the pitch next door which was in the sun all day after someone who had been there for 3 month had left. There are quite a number of regular long stay units, some permanent. Water points are well positioned and numerous.
The toilet blocks are in the process of being upgraded one was completed and was excellent and very modern. The other ones still clean and plenty of hot water in the good showers. I used the old block my wife the new.
Because of the location, some form of transport is needed if staying for more than a few days and I would not fancy riding a cycle along the very busy dual carriageway.
Massive shopping complex just a short drive away on the way to Marbella, but there is a good supermarket, bars and restaurants just a short walk from the site entrance.
On-site bar and restaurant was OK and very friendly staff but it always seemed quite, which was a surprise given the size of the site and availability of WIFI.
If approaching the site from the west follow the standard road signs to do the u-turn onto the opposite carriageway. My Sat Nav took me to an underpass which a delivery van was reversing out of as he had got stuck and damaged his roof. Not the place for a motorhome!

This is quite a large site just off the coastal motorway. Pitches vary in size and shape, some being quite sloping, and when it rains it can get quite muddy. There are plenty of pine trees for shade. The shower blocks are clean but in need of refurbishment. Water pressure is low and it takes a long time to heat up. However the showers are not push-button, which is a plus! The washing-up sinks have warm water but the laundry sinks have only cold. One of the washing machines was not working during our stay and people who had been on the site for a while said they'd reported it and nothing was done. However the reception staff were pleasant enough and security was good - you get a swipe card to work the entrance barrier. We can't comment on the restaurant as we didn't try it, and it was too early in the year for the swimming pool to be open.
There is a small shopping area at El Rosario, about 5 minutes' walk from the site, with a supermarket, newsagents, bar and hairdresser. A baker's van comes to the site twice a week. It's a bit of a hike to the beach, via a bridge over the motorway then through some pleasant suburban streets. The beach is very good and there are a number of beach bars. The proximity of the motorway means there is some traffic noise but it's not too intrusive. We weren't impressed with Marbella itself but there are some interesting places to visit inland, such as Mijas and Ronda.
