The location of this site is good - its only 500m from the beaches and a short drive into Porto (although we got horribly lost coming home!)
The site itself is massive but well over half is unused and overgrown with several closed down toilet blocks. This gives it a rather neglected air. On the plus side, its easy to walk your dog round the unused section. There is a lot of concrete in the main areas also adding to the outdated appearance. However, the camping area for motorhomes and caravans is good - there are no marked pitches so it is reasonably easy to find a space that suits your unit - we had no problems with our 8. 5m motorhome. You parked amongst eucalyptus trees so it was shady and fragrant. The toilet block was fine but lots of the showers were so hot (there was no temperature control except for on one shower) that it was almost unbearable.
The pool was good although crammed with teenagers (who I think could buy day tickets - a lot didn't seem to be residents) and the bar was well stocked. Didn't eat in the restaurant or use the shop - there is a Pingu Dos supermarket 5 mins drive away. Decent wifi especially by the bar.
Overall, excellent value at 25 Euro per night in high season with a dog.

Stayed here for a week in July. Not by choice. Waiting for delivery of a control unit for the mover.
This is an excellent site to 'do' Oporto (Porto) from. The bus stops outside the campsite. Gives you a fascinating ride into town. Some VERY narrow streets that have you holding your breath as the bus gets through gaps you'd avoid in a car!
The site is large, though much is unused. The main touring camping area is on unmarked pitches. No grass. Dusty-ish with eucalyptus leaves carpeting the area.
Ablutions are basic, but clean and functional. The pool/restaurant area, well used and good, but busy. Many non campers visit. Food basic but decent. The restaurant/bar is where you do your wifi. Free and good connection.
There can be lengthy waits at reception when booking in and out.
A short walk or cycle ride to the beach. A long walkway/cycle track borders the beach in both directions. Being the Atlantic. It is often breezy/windy. The 'front' offers lots of bars and restaurants. Some excellent.
Oporto/Porto is well worth a couple of days mooching. A river trip on one of the many excursion boats is interesting, and offers a different perspective of the city.
A visit to the port wine lodges, which abound on the south bank (the camp site bus passes them), is well worth while. Grahams and Cockburn's offering two of the best and most interesting tours/tastings.
To sum up: Very well positioned, free wifi, bit dated. Okay.

The facilities are clean if not a little dated. Bit of a trek to the Elsan point and there really should be ones within the blocks. However the site is in a superb position for public transport into Porto. The 906 bus route stops very near to the campsite and the journey to the centre takes about 45 mins & costs 1. 85euro each way. The beach and bars are a 500m walk away and a Pingo Doce supermarket 1km walk. Reasonable wifi around reception.

The site is well located to visit Porto and the nearby beach.
The reception area is bright and airy and the staff very professional.
There is a nice pool area and the bar and shop are well stocked.
The pitching area for caravans is in the wooded area. There are no marked pitches, it's every man for himself. Whilst we were on site there was a breeze which resulted in lose pine cones and branches falling onto the van overnight.
The sanitary facilities were run down and not very clean.
We found it a bit grim and left after one night.

We stayed here for 6 nights costing 101 euros.
This is a good site for Porto as the bus stop is 200m away( the one we used passes Grahams port cave, worth a visit).
There is a tv room with wifi, tennis courts, I think there was a 5 aside pitch (couldn't get to it) a pool(not open at the while we where there) cafe and shop (open weekends in low season ?)
Very small play area for kids (very young ones)
The toilets and showers were not the best but clean and worked fine.
The staff were very good.
But this site should be a gem but we found it run down (needs updating and some repairs).
No marked pitches woke up one morning surrounded.
Long electric leads needed.
The beach is a short walk away very good sandy beach
Good supermarket near by.

This site, another in the Orbitur group, is convenient for visiting Porto and the Douro valley, but is rather run-down and depressing. It's a large site with many bungalows and permanent caravans. The touring area is also large but not divided up into pitches at all so parking was fairly random. There are a lot of tall eucalyptus trees which also limit one's choice of location. The toilet block is basic and in need of refurbishment. The washing-up and laundry sinks have cold water only. There is a washing machine but it was out of order when we were there. The bar, snack bar, shop and swimming pool were all closed as it was low season (and yet the site was fairly busy as Porto is a popular tourist destination). There is a pleasant beach nearby, and the bus to Porto stops close to the campsite. It's a lovely old town, full of character, not to mention port houses, many of which are open for tours, complete with tastings! A trip up the Douro valley also makes a pleasant excursion. A pity the campsite is so grim!
