We have just returned from this site. It is a lovely site in a fantastic location. The views are amazing and you can swim in a nice pool overlooking the Pyrenees. The staff were friendly and the site was clean. Some of the pitches looked a little cramped. We had pre booked pitch 40 from the map on the website and I think it was one of the better pitches and we fitted comfortably on it with the trailer tent, annexe and sun canopy. The bar was nice. We didn't eat in the restaurant but the food looked good. There was a play area, boules court, badminton pitch and an indoor play area for little ones. It was a fairly quiet site with not much going on but you are very close to lots of places to visit.
The only thing that let down the campsite was the toilets but I am very fussy. There were no toilet seats and they were unisex which I don't like. They were kept very clean though.
The nearby beaches were good and our favourite was Hendaye Plage. We visited San Sebastian one day which was about a 45 min drive and also from Hendaye there is a little ferry that crosses the estuary to a little village in Spain. St Jean de Luz was nice but parking a nightmare however there is a park and ride for 1 euro on the road in from the campsite.
We stayed for 10 nights and had one day solid rain, a bad thunderstorm one night but otherwise the weather was sunny and warm.
I would return if I was in the area again using our own toilet which for the first time ever camping in France we got out and used while staying at this site.

We (wife and I) arrived without making a reservation after the long drive from North Dordogne. The lady in reception was friendly and spoke excellent English. She explained that the site was busy and only had 1 available plot, number 007 – this was situated just to the right of the reception building. It was very small, the ground was very uneven and views were obscured by other units. However, we were tired after the drive down and decided to book it for 9 nights. The plot just managed to accommodate our Outwell Florida 5 but we didn’t have the room to peg the guide ropes.
Nevertheless we were determined to enjoy our stay as this was our last stop before sailing back to the UK. What happened next? 9 days of rain! Oh yes, it more or less lashed down the whole time we were there - one spell of rain lasted over 26 hours nonstop! And it was cold!
The campsite is well looked after – the shower blocks and washing up facilities are excellent. The swimming pool and sunbathing areas are both kept in pristine condition and the views are fantastic. The restaurant and bar has a lovely patio terrace and again there are great views – when the weather allows!
The site is situated in the heart of the Basque Country and is ideally situated – only 7 miles inland from St Jean De Luz. There is a beautiful lake just a few miles down the road (Le Lac). It has a man-made beach and a small water park area. We enjoyed it there, especially walking around the lake during the evening – and we actually had one afternoon of warm sunshine, took the barbeque down and caught a few rays!
So. To summarise. The campsite is in a great location where you can reach the coastal towns and inland villages easily. The campsite is well maintained and has good facilities and the countryside is beautiful. However, in my opinion, the pitches are small and it felt all too cramped. This is a pity and for this reason I probably would not return.
