Pitched the tent at the top of the site as the field is on a slight slope, shower and toilet facilities on site hot water.
I was the only one on the site it's was very quiet.
Site hosts were we very welcoming. Answered the phone, questions and were very helpful.
Arrived 5. 30pm on Friday left on Saturday 12am relaxed camping site brilliant just what you want whilst travelling.
Solo motorbike camper the ground was to soft to park the bike near the tent parked under a lean too plenty of hard standing and secure parking with CCTV
A couple of pubs within walking distance I went to the The Drill Inn pub I only had a beer but the food looked good.
There are fishing ponds at the site I didn't visit these. Chase water and railway is worth a visit it's not well sign posted how to get there use Google maps look for pool lane off the A5 I would use this site again the weather was dry and fine 16degs.
As a motorbike solo camper everything I needed was on site or within travelling or walking distance food fish and chips, other takeaways and petrol.
The site was secure and away from traffic and safe for children as a adult solo camper scored a 10 for this aspect alone no play facilities for children on site.
Plenty to do at chase water for the children 10 minutes away.

Very friendly welcome and assistance parking on a new hard standing area that hadn't been rolled yet due to bad weather.
Fantastic walking around the area with our dog off the lead all the time, except for crossing one road.
Two pubs within walking distance: The Drill Inn (along opposite road, so lead on) allowed dogs in the bar area and the food was great, the Nelson Inn (no lead needed) didn't allow dogs at all (boo!) so didn't go there, although it was a good walk for us and our dog.
Very convenient for family and mfr fiends to visit from nearby.
We'll be going back there.

Really friendly, helpful family.
There were few sites available in this area at this time of year but they went out of their way to accommodate us.
Nice, quiet area with great pubs in walking distance

We stayed 2 nights at Glanfar Campsite with our Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh groups and can not recommend the campsite enough.
The owners are brilliant, very helpful and nothing it too much trouble.
The site itself was perfect for us we had a whole field with plenty of space. One member of staff brought their caravan and we had an electric hook up.
The facilities were exactly what was needed, with the added benefit of seeing the horses, cats and dogs - which the kids loved.
Will definitely be returning

We had a Great stay.
We were up visiting family for the first time since lock down.
Very hand not far from our family and friends.
The owners was very accompanying they said we could have our family visits us at the site.
This was lovely. But as our family was very close to hear it was just perfect.
I would stay again no worries about that.
So Thank you.
From Chris And Tricia.
This is just your standard camp site no trills. But for us no problems.

Firstly this is a stable yard, so great if you love horses.
The site is very narrow so may be difficult if you have a large outfit.
Ideally situated for cycle and walking due to being many lanes in the area.
Best if needing an overnight stay, as there are no views or outlook and not really suitable for sitting outside
With a bbq.
The owner and all people around this area are very friendly
Pubs within walking distance serve good food and real ale.
Chasewater and Cannock chase are a short drive away.

The actual camping field was waterlogged which bearing in mind the weeks of rain we’ve had wasn’t too surprising. The owner was more than happy for us to camp in our VW California Beach on an area of hard standing with electricity available if we required it. Very friendly welcome despite us not arriving until about 8. 30.
The children thought it great that we had to walk through the stable yard and past the horses to get to the washroom.
Appeared to be some lovely walks in the area, a fishing lake down the lane and a couple of pubs serving food nearby, but on this occasion we didn’t try them out.

Booked on here for 2 night stay to attend a wedding. No one around on arrival, owners away, young lady eventually answered the bell but didn't know much about the booking. Gave us a key to shower block, couldn't find the block so had to ring the bell again. Waited for some time before anyone arrived to find the shower block is through the stables tack room. Clean showers although no loo rolls, or paper towels.
Small site attached to stables, a bit hard to find but handy for Lichfield. Found it a bit noisy due to barking dogs but on the plus side there was ample fruit on the trees, plums, apples and pears to pick.
Basic site but at £15 a night don't expect too much. Don't think we will be back though.

We have just returned from a week camping at Glanfar. You could not ask for a more wonderful owners. They could not do enough to help.
Despite other reviews, we found the shower room was kept beautifully clean. It is a basic site, but that is the charm of it.
It is surrounded by beautiful walks, lovely pubs and friendly locals. We will certainly return. Thank you Janine.
