 This is a well positioned campsite for visiting places such as Lourdes, Pont D'Espagne and Col de Tourmelet (especially for those who enjoy the Tour de France).
There are walking trails right outside the campsite which lead up into the mountains and there is a leisure route which connects Lourdes to Cauterets. The little town of Pierrefitte Nestalas is about 5-10 mins walk from the site. The town is well equipped with a small Spar type store, a couple of bakeries, post office, tourist information office and a couple of small bars to name but a few. There is a supermarket about 3 miles away.
There aren't many pitches on this site and I doubt many campers with the larger style tents could be accommodated here. However, for those who have tents which are no bigger than a Vango Tamor for example, this is a lovely place with great views if you can pitch on an upper level terrace.
The facilities are very clean and to a high standard. There is a good size swimming pool on this site which is ideal on those hot sunny days in the mountains.
