This is the second time we have visited this site and have not been disappointed. A warm welcome from the staff, who try hard with their English. They are willing to answer questions about local facilities and places to walk. There is a welcome sheet, written in 3 languages and many information leaflets.
Baguettes, croissants etc can be ordered for the following day and there is also a shop on the site.
The facilities were clean and the showers hot. We didn't use the pool or bar but we did visit the friterie. There is also a pizza wagon once a week.
Each pitch is very private with its own water supply and electric. There is a dog walk on site - good for first and last minute walks.
The area is fantastic for walking, cycling, birdwatching and is only an hour from Calais. There are several supermarkets in the area and it's only a short drive/cycle to Le Crotoy and St Valery.
Yes, we would go back but would have preferred a hardstanding pitch. Not a problem when we were there but we did notice some deep ruts on some of the outer pitches (!)

We stayed on this site for 5 nights after visiting the Normandy D Day beaches. We were looking for a site with good facilities and a pool which is fairly close to Calais, so this site ticked all the boxes. As an earlier review stated, the pool is great for children but smaller than the photos suggest. The staff are very friendly and helpful. One lady in reception, Isabelle, speaks excellent English. Her husband showed us to our pitch. He doesn't speak English but was very welcoming and polite, introducing himself, shaking our hands and using hand gestures to indicate where the toilets, showers etc. Were located. The majority of the pitches are given over to mobile homes and the serviced pitches are at the rear of the site, which was not a problem for my husband and me. This is very much geared up for families with all sorts of activities for children during the day. Cycling is very easy in this area- flat with good cycle paths. Le Cretoy is just over 5 miles from the site, where you can travel on a narrow gauge railway around the bay to St. Valery sur Somme, which is a picturesque village with a harbour and plenty of good eating places. We ate at La Civette, a tabac and brasserie. The food was excellent, good value and the service friendly. We also cycled to Quend La Plage, which is about 7 miles each way, but worth the effort! This is a lively seaside resort with a fantastic sandy beach. We didn't swim in the sea but many families were, so must be safe for swimming. We loved the Somme area and will certainly return, hopefully with better weather next time! We used oir ACSI card so with the discount, the value for money was excellent for us.

We have just spent a wonderful 10 days on this campsite. The owners are fabulous and really helpful. Great points are the huge pitches, good pool( although very much for children it's difficult to sneak off for a swim without being disturbed as limited space permits), beautiful fresh baked bread every morning from 830am onwards, lovely clean showers and toilets, good access to main and toll roads ( about 2. 5 hours only to central Paris), good playground and bouncy castle for kids,
No bad points but please note - take a bag with toilet roll, towel and hand soap. Toilet roll is mostly provided but its handy not to get caught out:) Also, there are no toilet seats and mixed sex toilet and showers but it is a typical traditional beautiful site so hey ho it's not not so bad.
You are less than 10 minutes to Aldi, Carrafour and Lidl in a car although there is a local shop on site for essentials. We would highly recommend this site as its a great base to explore the area especially the Bay of somme etc and Le Cretoy. The site is and very well laid out and peaceful. As you would expect - the camping atmosphere is great here and the owners work so hard round the clock to ensure your stay is perfect which to be honest our family trip was the best we have had an I would visit again within a heartbeat!

We have just spent a very nice week at this site. It was our first time camping abroad so we chose this site based on it's close proximity to the Eurotunnel port and it's facilities. I'm pleased to say the holiday was a huge success. Booking online back in February was straightforward. Our pitch was flat and surrounded by a little hedge which gave us plenty of privacy and kept the kids safe. We had EHU but there was an more open non EHU area without the hedges, so there's another option if you prefer not to be hemmed in.
Toilets and showers were clean enough, no loo seats for some reason and only cold water for hand washing. There are 3 shower blocks, a total of 12 or so showers (I didn't actually count them) but I never encountered a queue even though the site was full. Guests seemed to be a mix of French, Brits, Dutch, Belgians and families or older couples. We met a lovely lady in a wheelchair who was back for her second visit and raved about the disabled facilities.
The pool is obviously the focal point for a lot of guests, our kids loved it, we went everyday, sometimes twice. It is smaller in reality than it appears on the pictures and whilst it did get busy, it never felt cramped. It was a bit quieter in the mornings. There is free wifi in the bar area, a bit slow but not too bad.
Also a bonus is the pizza van which visits on a weekly basis, nice pizzas. There is a friterie which served huge bowls of local mussels and the kind of chips that could close an artery from the other side of the room (I mean that as a compliment), there were burgers and toasties too if mussels aren't your thing.
I'm afraid we were very lazy and didn't get out and about much, a drive to Amien to visit the cathedral (stunning) and a trip to the local village of Rue (pretty an unspoilt) was all we managed, but we were told that the local beaches were close by and easy to get to.
There were only a couple of down sides, a lot of dog owners didn't clear up after there dogs and I'd like to see the site do something about that, at least a sign or two. The other thing was the hand washing facilities, with the CQC breathing down my neck at work, the lack of hot water and soap in the toilets made me uncomfortable!
All in all, it was a lovely trip and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it or go back again.

Used this site as a stop on our tour through France, Plan was for two nights but stayed for four. Good sized pitch with hook up for £13 night with ACSI card Staff very friendly some english spoken but never a problem, my poor French and signing was ok. Site was quiet but very well kept and very very clean. Sauna was a bit of a let-down as only infa red type with no shower next to it so didn't bother to use it. Pool would be a bonus for those with children as is heated and indoors. The only down side was the lack of water and waste points and no soap or toilet roll in the loo's. Plenty to see and do in the area, you can walk to the Bay of Somme from the campsite but if you have a dog like us you can't take it on the beach.

We have just returned from a weeks holiday at this wonderful site. The pool was definitely the main attraction and very very nice, although just be aware that swimming shorts are not permitted and only speedos / tight trunks are permitted - we had to venture to a shop called Texti in Rue to purchase some as did many other brits.
The site is clean and very well maintained
The staff are very friendly, they have limited English but really try to help.
We went in low season so the friterie was only open for one day, but they had a pizza van there for one day too. The bar seemed to open just when they felt like it and not on specified days.
They have a Wifi area which is great.
Pitches are large and private as all surrounded by a 5ft(ish) hedges.
There is a very small shop (could do with something larger)as we only have a cool box in our tent so need to shop daily for meals.
The facilities were always very clean
All in all a great campsite and we would definitely recommend it.

We found this to be an excellent site approx 1hr from Calais. The staff are very helpful. The indoor pool was one of the best we have visited and kept the children occupied all day. Reception has a very small shop and also sells fresh bread every morning. Small bar on site.
All pitches seem to have elec hookup but continental adaptor required. Nearest supermarket in Rue which is approx 4km away. Small children's playground with football/tennis/basketball court.
We only intended to use this site as a stopover but ended up staying for 4 days and a further 3 on return. Would recommend to both families and couples.
