 Second stay at this site and each time we have been put in an emplacement large enough for our 3 tents, tables and chairs, blow up armchairs with footrests (thankyou Range), kitchen units and storage, and our 7 seater car. We hired bikes (8 euros a day) and there was room for them as well The high hedges on 3 sides ensured complete privacy and gave shade. The shower block was within easy reach and was adequate but a little tired. The girls were amused by the outdoor pissoir for the gents.
I agree it is very 'french' but personally I don't go to France to meet other English people to moan about Johnnie Foreigner. We had a good rapport with our French neighbours who were 'tres amuse' by my atrocious attempts to speak French.
The site is well placed for the stones and the town centre with its brilliant twice weekly market. We bought a bag of moules and cooked them for lunch with chips bought from the bar on the site. An easy 15km cycle path goes right through the centre of the site.

First visited site in mid 70's, some is not much changed, but pool complex is an addition. Site is very French, used much by French people on their annual vacations, so be prepared to 'be French', although English is spoken if need be.
Pitches are small and not divided, so pretty communal. Toilets are quite adequate. Shop provides necessary supplies in emergency, but as ever prices will not compete with supermarkets. Site is generally quiet, and rowdyism is frowned upon. Situated close to Carnac ville, site gives good access to town/beaches, and by car offers trips out to keep the most energetic occupied for 2/3 weeks. Definitely not your big 5 star, but if you like a comfy small site with interested 'hands on owners' then one to be recommended.
