Mixed views on this site.
We arrived late afternoon and were greeted by a pleasant receptionist who didn't speak much English (more English than we speak French!)but she made a really good effort and the check in was troublefree. We were told where our pitch was and given a booklet for the site, which states all the rules (many of which result in 'eviction from the site with no refund' should you break them), and information about the site and the surrounding area.
When we got to our pitch there was a huge oak tree right in the middle of it which meant siting the caravan was a nightmare. Luckily there were some lovely folk around us who helped us push it first across the back of the pitch and then when we realised the tree would obstruct the awning, they then helped pull it back to the side of the pitch, where the awning then just fit against the tree. The pitch itself was in total shade for the entire holiday. As we wandered around the site during our stay, most of the pitches were total shade or had some sort of obstruction in them (trees, water pipes sticking up, roots etc). There were even some people in tents on a bit of gravelly rough ground that didn't look like a pitch at all! There are a lot of statics on the site and the site itself felt a bit closed in with narrow lanes and not a lot of space. Pitches were generally small with barely enough room for caravan, awning and car.
The water park is good, lots of slides, a pool and a lazy river which is heated, the pool is covered, so good for a cooler, rainy day. There is entertainment in the pool most afternoons. There is also a more basic pool complex in the middle of the site, which isn't heated, so was very cold, but it doesn't get busy and it was easy to get a sunbed and was a very pleasant area of the site. Tight trunk type swimwear was needed for the blokes.
There are two shower and toilet blocks, which have ample showers, toilets and sinks and also a baby bath with a movable shower head. The water in the showers, however, was luke warm at best, but generally cold. A nightmare trying to shower a child in them. The method of cleaning was just to whizz round with a hosepipe, which left everything wet through and the floor was often damp and muddy. Toilet paper was provided, but it ran out quickly.
There is a small children's playground and mini farm which was nice to have a stroll to in the evening. Entertainment at the bar most nights, but stopped around 11pm. Can't comment on this as we never used it. The snack bar served up good food, pizzas were very nice and there was free wifi round the bar area.
We've been to the region before and have always enjoyed it, but this year, the traffic around La Palmyre was terrible. Queues in the mornings getting to the town and the beach and queues in the evenings when coming off the beach back to the site. La Palmyre is becoming more commercialised, but is still a nice little town to wander round, with some nice gift shops and a good selection of food and wine shops. We didn't go to the zoo on this occasion, but have been in the past and its worth a visit and reasonably priced. The Grande Cote beach is lovely
All things considered, we will not return to this site, it's just not our cup of tea, but can see how others would enjoy it more. If we'd have had a pitch with a bit more sun, it might have been a different story, but unfortunately, it has put us off going back.

I've copied and pasted from my reply to someone on the forum, so my review is about 2013. A bit vague as we did about 14 sites, so this is as much as I can remember.
Stayed there last summer as part of an 8 week tour down the west coast with the kids, think we had 5 days there.
Pitch was a little small but fine in nice tree lined avenues. The pool area was great, loved the lazy river and the kids loved the slides. The bar area was decent and one night they cooked a massive paella, you have to reserve to get that meal but well worth it.
They don't let you in early at start of your hols so check the check in time.
We didn't do beaches from here, but did the go ape thing just around the corner, it was really good but so hot so drink lots. Did the fun fair over the road, a decent meal was had at entrance to fun park, I think it was racks of ribs. Toilets in fun park at 1 euro. I think this was the place that had the biggest fun house I've ever seen at the back of the park, next to it was a jeep ride dinosaur style. Do it, great fun.
My kids are a bit old for the clubs so we didn't bother, there's a sports pitch on the site also I think.
So be honest we just chilled at the pool.
For a big commercial site I thought it was pretty decent.
