 Close to silverstone circuit which is great location,
Was busy when we went,
People I went with had a good time here

We had a great time, Pat and Stuart were both friendly and helpful.
The toilets and shower blocks were nice and clean with plenty of hot water.
Silverstone circuit was a short walk from the campsite - across grassy tracks/paths only briefly on the road.

Another great weekend of racing, and being only a short walk away, on Windmill campsite.
The new showers are great and have been needed for many years. Also, the Porto loos are a great addition as the toilet blocks are dated, dingy and not personal.
Not happy with the loss of fields to Silverstone parking. Also, I thought the £30/ nt /person steep.
The food and drink area is good, and good value.

Used this site for the MotoGP weekend and very glad we did. Plenty of space although some sloping. Arrived at 2145 on the Friday night, paid at the gate (£10 per person per night, kids under 10yrs were free) and just picked a spot! There were around twenty other units on site, all parked around the edge of this large field. There was a toilet trailer at the bottom of the field but we did not use as we had our own in the motorhome. Drinking water was also available. We chose this site for it's close proximity to the track because we had two children with us and didn't want a busy/noisy site. It was an easy five minute walk to Copse entrance and evenings were spent playing football and enjoying a nice relaxing glass of wine! Perfect! The owners were very helpful and pleasant when dealing with our telephone enquiries and they came out in the pouring rain to jump started the motorhome parked next to us. If you want peace and quiet (compared to some of the other sites around Silverstone) and to be close to the track you will not better Windmill Farm. Our motorhome is over 32' and we managed to get through the gate ok, but anything bigger might find it a bit too tight. Will definitely use again.

We've stayed here 3 times now for the british grand prix, and will be staying there again this year! Its one of the cheapest around, costing just £12.50 per person per night.
It’s in a fantastic location, just a 5 min walk to the circuit (copse corner). Its just a large field that the owners rent out for silverstone occasions. The good thing about this site is you get to choose your own pitch and the amount of room you want (we had the caravan, awning and wind shields for outdoor room) where as with other sites they guide you in and your left with hardly no room!
There are temporary toilets put on site normally just one block for each sex, with 5 toilets in it, this never seems to be a problem, I've never queued! Also temporary showers, 1 block again for each sex with 3 showers. You do normally have to queue for a shower, but the hot water never runs out! There is also a tap located by the showers with drinking water. There is no electric hook up available here!
In the past they have had a hot food van on site too! There is a shop in silverstone village about a 15 min walk from the camp and there is a pub even closer! Like I said this will be the fourth time we use this site. We have used others in the past, but for value and location this is best! All staff on this site are friendly and helpful!
