There are NO TOILET FACILITIES, very disappointing since its listed as having toilets in various places. But is apparently under new management.
Ideal location to visit Lancaster, Blackpool, Morecambe etc.
Quiet location but will not return due to lack of toilet facilities

We decided fairly late last week to make the most of a day off and have a 1 nighter somewhere local. Glasson Dock is only an hour away from home so ideal.
On arrival, blackboard with our names on directed us to choose any pitch up in the paddock area. Grass pitches only but bone dry underfoot so not a problem. Warden had told me on the phone that she wouldn't be around to take payment but would catch me at some point. £13. 00 for a lovely overnight stay in fabulous peaceful surroundings.
Very good dog walks in the area and we ventured along to the coastal path and had a walk.
Site itself is not immaculate, pitches in front of the house looked well manicured but the paddock less so. Could do with the grass being a little shorter and the water and chemical waste points could be better signposted and spruced up a bit.
EHU at 10amp was more than sufficient but if parked on end pitches, you would need the longest cable which we did have. You will also need levelling blocks due to the lie of the pitches.
We will visit again because you can not get better value for money. True darkness at night, little road noise and yet not remote from amenities in neighbouring villages and the City of Lancaster.

Lovely well kept site, some great walks/footpaths, very attentive & friendly owners.
Lovely all round views from this site, the road is not visible from the site and its not a busy one. You can see the sun rising and setting un-interrupted, lovely!
£13 with electric, bargain! Basic toilet available with loo roll, lights and lots of info/maps to read whilst you are on the loo!
The owner prints off maps of local walks for folk to take with them. Close access to Lancaster (by road or bridleway by the beautiful Lune estuary), great for twitchers. Lots of canal tow-paths and cycleways.
Lovely big old pub (the Stork) within walking distance, with ample parking too. They serve up fancy nosh with interesting South-African style dishes and great beer. Fancy old golf club close by with pay as you play facilities.
The owner of the site wants to sell up now after many years of running this site, so if you liked it as much as we did, you could even live there!(great looking home)

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights in July 2013 and we were very lucky with great weather. The access is up a steep drive and a sign tells caravans to stop on the drive - be careful with your clutch when setting off again! We thought the CL was in the front (pretty) garden but were directed to a field at the rear of the property. The lady was very friendly and helpful.
The site is on a well kept field which slopes a bit and has reasonable views of the surrounding fields. The pitches are well separated although only one other van was on the site at the time. Water, EHU and waste disposal are all easily reached and the site is quite pleasant. We did not use the site toilet so cannot comment.
There is some noise from the A road but not too intrusive.
Do not expect much in the way of attractions - the local pub if fine and Glasson Dock is ok for a quick visit. We ended up visiting Lancaster and then Morecombe but the latter was a bit depressing!
Previous reviews gave 10 stars but compared to other CL's we have visited it is only average due to its location and ever so slightly tired facilities.
Overall a nice spot but not a great deal to do in the local area unless you are a cyclist.

What a lovely CL site this is. The top of the field is flat with beautiful countryside views. There is a toilet and chemical disposal point but no shower. This is a very quiet site but lovely and the owners went out of their way to make us welcome.
There is a brilliant cycle/walking path about half a mile down the road, accessed behind 'The Stork' pub. We walked along the track into Lancaster and our pedometer clocked up 6 miles, it was a lovely day and the walk was easy as the path is mostly tarmac. Short drive into Glasson Dock where there is a smoke house and a shop selling smoked fish and other delicacies.
We had good dry frosty weather so had a lovely weekend there.

Just got home from a lovely stay at this site. CL site not far from Lancaster, very friendly welcome from the owners. £10. 00 a night plus £1 for awning.
Ideal location for cycling, cycle track along Lune estuary into Lancaster is about 1/2 mile down the road you can cycle into Lancaster ( about 3 miles)then out to Morecambe (about 3 miles) or Crook o Lune (7 miles)or Hesk bank (on canal path)(about 10 miles) on good mainly tarmac paths, we had fantastic weather so made this stay much nicer.
The site itself is probably better if you are fully contained as I did not find a shower, just a toilet and chemical disposal. The site is fairly flat at the top near the electric hookups and slopes down to the hedge near the road (which is quiet) it is surrounded by lovely countryside, At the start of the cycle path is a lovely pub with nice beer garden and very nice menu its called 'The Stork' and around the corner is a lovely little cafe with seating in and outside open from 10 until 4 serving breakfast, meals and homemade cakes etc.
We had a lovely break and will definitely be back soon and can highly recommend this site.
