I booked this site back in January specifically so we could be near Gloucester to see the Severn Bore. We went a day late due to the weather, having emailed again. When we arrived we were met with 'we didn't know you were coming, I don't read emails' (she did when I booked!). Then she said the site wasn't fit to use. Told her we have a 4x4.She said we would get on ok and asked her son Tim (Dim Tim) to direct us - straight through some of the worst mud you could possibly imagine! Finally got through to where there were some caravans and then realised nobody else was touring, the caravans were occupied by men who live there (don't know what happens when the CC inspect the site!) The tap and CWD were through a gateway with even worse mud.
Later we found that there is a better way through, so why were we not shown it? One day there was a tractor blocking our exit so went to the house to ask if it could be moved, were told about the other route and the man I spoke to said he didn't know why we hadn't been put on the hardstanding 'with the people who booked'. This was a pocket handkerchief sized yard with one motorhome which looked as if it was permanently sited.
Would we go again? errr, no. Oh, we were only asked to pay £5 per night, should be £7.
