We have used this site in the past as a stop over and found it be very good. HOWEVER things have changed dramatically since our last visit.
The place was quite poorly signposted. We arrived just minutes after the reception closed and did as the note asked and rang the number - no answer - we then spotted a young lady siting in a car at the entrance - she was the 'manager'. We were allowed in after some discussion about paying and not leaving without paying.
There were a few pitches available - many were taken up by mobile- homes awaiting installation. There was no working electric available, but for one night that didn't matter.
The 'sanitary' facilities were only half open despite the site being almost full and they were in such a disgusting state that we didn't risk using them.
We awoken the next morning just after 7am by a lorry delivering yet more accommodation - flat pack cabins. The office did not open at 9am and again we did as instructed and rang the number - no reply.
We asked a workman who didn't know where the 'manager' was. Tried the number again - ansaphone this time. We left having wasted 30 minutes trying to pay and having left a note and contact number on the door.
OnlyCamp seem to have ruined a perfectly good stopover which is now not going to be geared up for caravans. Campingcars. We won't be going back.

Great site, just a stopover on way north for us.
Very clean facilities, by the river in a quiet position considering it’s in Tours.
Dog friendly too. Friendly staff.
Would definitely use again.

We have never visited Tours, so chose this campsite, new in the ACSI book, as it appeared to be the nearest to the city.
We followed the satnav, and managed to find the site ok. It is situated on the outskirts of an urban area, not far from a river. Loads of cycle paths everywhere.
The campsite doesn't give a great impression when you arrive, a metal gate and concrete reception building. However, the warden was friendly, there's lots of tourist info here, especially about cycling. She gave us a welcome leaflet which had lots of useful info about the site and area. We were invited to choose our own pitch, there were quite a lot clustered round the sanitary block, and others further out amongst various static accommodation. The site is flat and grassy, some pitches a bit uneven.
The sanitary block is in two parts, one was closed when we were there, and there was scarcely enough open for the number of people on site. All mixed gender, toilets on the outside. Dark at night.
We set off to cycle into Tours with a map on the back of the campsite leaflet and one I picked up in reception. It should be 4k, 20-30 mins. However it took us much longer as we had to keep looking at the map. A lovely route to begin with, along the river, across the island. Then as we picked up the urban route it was very busy with traffic and pedestrians. However we were impressed how cyclists were given priority on the roads.
We eventually found the old centre, lots of restaurants here.
Interesting buildings in the City, but too busy to sightsee when we were there.
Would we go back, probably not, we're not city people, prefer smaller places.
