Nice field next to the river - can choose where you would like to pitch.
Nice clean mobile toilets provided but no elsan point or fresh water in the field. Was advised after we had set up that it was in the other field, which is fine if you are a caravan with a car to fetch it but not ideal for campervans/motorhomes. Also have to take your rubbish home.
Great coach service provided for going to see the Forest Live gig on the Saturday night.
Would definitely stay again.

We’ve stayed at this site a couple of times now. It is so attractive surrounded by paddocks for horses and the woodland of Thetford forest. It appears to have a couple of options for pitching. Either on the meadow by the river or on the official CL field with water and good waste and chemical facilities. For horse riding or dog walking it is ideal. It is possible to canoe on the river. The highlight for us was spotting otters playing in the river just downstream of the site. If only it had electric hook up we would be tempted to stay much longer. I’ll have to get a solar panel!

Spent just one night at Little Lodge Farm although I've visited a friend who regularly takes their caravan there. A long bumpy track to the farm, but this does mean it's far from the road and quiet - occasional small trains on the nearby track, occasional air force jets overhead but not a problem.
The two main areas were on a grassy patch which is part level and down by the river - the pitches aren't marked so I parked near the boundary in the shade of some trees and that seemed to be ok. From the farm there's immediate access to the forest and miles to explore. Watch out for ticks if you have a dog.
No toilet facilities on site so you need your own. There's just water and a waste point which was a traffic cone upside down in a drain - slight danger of splashback when emptying!
Thetford and Brandon are not far away, there's supermarkets, pubs etc a short drive away.
The owners also run their farm, they don't come round the campsite much so I just handed over the money when leaving. They also host holidays for horse owners so there's often some beautiful horses in the fields, I think there's electric fencing and also the river so campers should be aware they need to keep an eye on their children.
A nice site with plenty of space, good views and walks.
