 No wifi, no bar, no shop. Just 25 or so quiet pitches in a rural setting with clean well maintained facilities and a nice little pool.
An excellent base for exploring the Ardeche, not too far from Vallon Pont d'Arc where all the action is.
On our canoeing trip we were a bit envious of the sites we saw with direct river access but those sites are rammed and expensive.
For adults looking for somewhere quiet and civilised to camp I couldn't fault it. Our children (aged 10 & 11) were less enamoured with it but since we used the site as a base from which to visit various river beaches and villages as well as canoeing and canyonning excursions it worked for us.
Whether you are arriving or leaving (from the north or the south) we would strongly advise you to use the Montelimar junction off the motorway. Other routes (which may look more logical on a map) are windy and time consuming.

Wow. What a site.
If you are looking for a campsite with lots of sunshine, child friendly pool, clean toilet and washing up areas, a large washing machine, table tennis area and Boules pitch then this is the site for you.
Freezer blocks frozen in the office at a small charge (1. 80 euros for 6 blocks). No WiFi and the owners who are very welcoming speak very basic English.
12 glorious nights spent on a very large, partly shaded pitch with electric hook up close at hand allowed our larger family tent and leisure shelter to spread out easily and provide some excellent privacy in shade and sunshine alike.
The majority of the campers were french, with families from Belgium and Holland as well.
Most days were spent in or by the pool and the average daily temperature was around 35-38 degrees.
When not by the pool we had days out at the famous Pont d'Arc, Nimes, the market at Les Vans and a canoe trip down the river Ardeche itself broke the stay up nicely. I would highly recommend Le Petite Mer to book your canoe trip with. For a family of 6 we paid 63 euros for a mini decent (8 km). Other companies were going to charge 90 euros minimum.
Supermarkets are close by with Super you in the direction of Ruoms and Lidl and Inter Marche in the direction of Pont d'Arc.
This is a fantastic site and value for money. Small in number and away from the river yet within 20 minutes you are in the heart of the gorges. We roughly shopped every 4 days and in general melted into the southern Ardeche way of life. It was heaven.
Our kids loved it here and so did we adults. We shall definitely be returning for longer.

We stayed at the camping Chadenedes, Grospierres in the Ardeche for two weeks. There are 25 touring pitches and a couple of mobile homes to rent. Lovely pitches with plenty of shade and an immaculate toilet block (English style toilets ). Lovely swimming pool and very helpful owners. All this for only 14 euros per night! One of the nicest sites we have stayed on, would definitely recommend for those who like quiet peaceful holidays.
Lots to do in the surrounding area, walking, caves, canoeing etc. Good restaurant within walking distance, supermarket 10 minutes way, lots of great vineyards to visit.
