This is an ideal stop over for the Dover Ferries. The site is a small CL type site with limited facilities. Fresh water and waste water is near to the pub doorway and the toilet facilities are inside the pub itself. When we arrived we parked in the car park, which is slightly sloping, as we were only staying overnight. There is no electric hook-up although the landlady did offer to set one up if we needed it.
We had a lovely meal in the pub in the evening which was reasonably priced and very tasty.
We are sailing from Dover again in November and will definitely use this site again.

Fab little site suitable for an overnight stop before catching the ferry.(about a 10 min drive away from the port)
There is no electric hookup (or any other facilities for that matter - just water) but as an overnight stop - perfect.
The 'site' is a small grassy area just off the pub car park. This was ideal and to be honest we didn't bother unhitching so we could get a quick get away in the morning, and there was plenty of room to do this.
There were several tents there too so they obviously accommodate all campers.
Elaine the owner/chef gave us a very warm welcome and the food in the restaurant was great, in fact superb!
The bar area is a bit ropey, when we were there it was 'racenight' which was supposed to start at 9pm but it never happened (thankfully in my opinion) but the food cannot be faulted although the service wasn't great, the waitress kept forgetting things but she was still very pleasant and we were not in a rush.

We found The Hope Inn on this site while looking for a site near to Dover ferry for an early crossing to France.
We were greeted by elaine and shown a pitch for the night at the back of the inn, on grass by a skittle alley, with a view of a pretty hill over looking the Inn,
The site has a toilet in the Inn with a drain cover out side for waste.
The Inn has a pretty old world charm with a large restaurant at one end. The food is home made and very tasty, with a good wine list and sweets to die for.
We booked on our return to dover as we had a late ferry time.

We stopped here overnight before catching the ferry, our plan was to arrive in time to enjoy a meal and pint at the pub but were sadly delayed and arrived just before closing time, hence can't comment on the food but the pub looks nice enough. Elaine, the landlady, came out and greeted us as we pulled in the wide entrance and was very friendly and chatty. We had the option of pulling onto the fairly level grass area, about enough room for ten units, or stay on the slightly sloping tarmac car park,we chose the latter. This is really very basic at the moment, water and waste point is just outside the pub doorway, and not really any other facilities but we felt far safer parking here overnight than in one of the two motorway stops, and a lot less noisy, and only about ten minutes from Dover. Would not hesitate stopping here overnight again.
