What a lovely little site. Very pretty with numerous shrubs and trees.
Small dog walk at side of site also fantastic beach 15 min walk away, through sheep field and up the side of the golf course.
The owners were very helpful when our electrics failed. They rang round several caravan engineers for us and the problem was eventually solved.
Facilities were good and kept clean, handwash provided, 16 amp hook-up, great, and also a toilet. The sunset and cloud formations were beautiful.
Silloth has a lovely promenade and sufficient shops. There is a butchers, bakers, Co op and Spar, fish and chip shop and Indian (which didn't have very good reviews). Maryport is approx.
Twelves miles away if you fancy a change of scenery.
We will definitely been visiting again.

When I booked the lady owner was very friendly and made me look forward to my visit. We visited on a Friday to Monday and had 4 different pitch neighbours so seems popular for short stops and also longer stays as the couple next to us had stayed for 2 weeks.
The lady owner came to see us the day after our arrival and was very friendly yet not obtrusive her husband unfortunately has been in hospital for a few weeks and she was holding the fort as it were and she apologised about the length of the grass, but it was absolutely fine. We were on pitch 2 and it is a long way from the lecky point but you don’t need an extension.
Everything was nice and handy, toilet closed due to you know what, but it didn’t affect us. There was hand sanitizer near the waste area. Pay by cash. Very reasonable rates £12 per night + £1 for awning. You get all day sunshine and the garden is pleasant but there is a little bit of road traffic noise.
The walk to the beach is across the road next to a golf course (which looked very nice) and the beach was deserted, we had it ALL to ourselves on the Saturday evening so let our dogs off, which was lovely, when the tide is out it is just vast!
We visited loweswater, in the northern lakes, one day and it was absolutely stunning and another day we walked to silloth and walked along the prom which was a complete contrast, nice for families, lovely green.
Went to the chip shop cafe and we had nice fish and chips for reasonable price. There is a co-op for shopping and Mary port has more shops if needed.
The area grew on us, and although we really enjoyed our stay we probably feel we’ve ticked this particular box, but if you love cycling and golf a longer stay would probably suit.

Excellent little site. We stayed 2 nights and wish we could have stayed longer. The owners are very friendly and welcoming and keep the site immaculate. So nice to be able to walk to the beach. We shall certainly return.

Stayed here for 3 nights, solo, it was my first trip in a newly acquired campervan.
This is a lovely well kept CL site, felt I was camping on someones front lawn. Nice views of the Lake District and Scottish hills. There is EHU, waste point, toilet with basin and cold water, all kept spotlessly clean. The owner has provided masses of local information, magazines and DVD's that you can borrow (no charge).
The lady who runs the site is lovely and very helpful. The hook-up point was quite far from my van and she offered to lend me an extension cable if mine didn't reach.
She was then concerned that I was solo and not too sure of how all the things worked in the van, so she sent an electrician over who was working on the site to make sure I was okay with everything.
The following day she checked to see if I had survived my first night and that everything was working in the van, and had I been able to tune in the TV. I couldn't get a picture on the TV and she offered to lend me a digi box which was very kind of her.
The location of the site is easy to find. There is a nice 15 min walk to the beach. Sillouth is about 3 miles away, its a nice little town with a few shops, very wide streets (so no problem parking a van if you drive in), a large green and a long promenade from which I spotted porpoise playing in the estuary.
I would not hesitate to recommend this site and I hope I will be able to visit again.

Spent a night at this CL and it was ideal. It's about 2 miles from Silloth, which is a nice town. The site is a few minutes walk from the beach, which gives excellent views over the Solway.
You can catch great sunsets here. Other towns in the area include Allonby and Maryport and the Lakeland fells are easily accessible. The site facilities are basic but well maintained. There is a toilet with cold water tap, disposal facilities and EHUs.
