My sister and I (39, 41)and my 11yr old son are just back from a weekend at teapot lane, its about 9km from bundoran and 20minutes from Sligo city centre close to mullaghmore beach on the west/NW coast of Ireland.
Im not an expert camper, and in a normal campsite 2 days and I'm ready for home, but teapot lane isn't a normal campsite - its best tourism description is luxury glamping but I prefer to describe it as a taste of heaven for the easygoing.
Firstly its not luxurious by hotel standards so don't go there expecting immaculate living its a camp in a forest glade.
Secondly prepare children to be away from tv/ games - we did this and our son surprised us by totally loving the experience especially the songs at the camp fire.
We stayed in a yurt and if you like to read I would suggest you bring good lighting as tea lights don't create enough light for reading, but we were happy to spend time in the shared space and just slept in the yurt.
It was a bit rainy while we were there but there's lots of roofed outdoor space so it didn't spoil our stay. Just as well as you are never to far a way from a shower of rain in Ireland.
The composting toilet was well made but an additional toilet block has been provided for the faint hearted. Shower was lovely and hot and the shared kitchen was always clean.
The place had a vintage chic vibe going on and there was plenty to do with massage treatments on site, hammocks and treehouses, books, games, tea and coffee to share, dogs to stroke and hens to steal eggs from.
Would I return? Heck Id move in!

Just back from Teapot Lane and we had an amazing time. It is a real hidden gem. The yurts were so cosy, the communal areas have everything you need and more. The kids had a blast and we got to relax and switch off from it all. Location is perfect as you are away from it all but just a short drive from Mullaghmore and Bundoran, which offer loads of things to do for the kids. Loved it and we will be back.

A group of women of mixed ages went for a week end away and rented the yurt and thatched cottage. Overall we had a wonderful time in a lovely place. Unfortunately it did not live up to the expectations created by viewing the website. There were overbooking problems, broken shower, broken bed and cold food at the barbecue. Our group initially neglected in favour of another visiting group until we complained. Cottage is beautifully decorated but not well cleaned for visitors and grounds need a bit more manicuring. It has such tremendous potential and the owner would need to employ a team of staff to manage it with her. Customer relations not that good either. Despite all that we enjoyed our visit and would return as it is in a great location. Yurts are fabulous too. Warning -it is hard to find so phone ahead of visiting for exact location.

I stayed at Teapot Lane with my family in July and absolutely loved it. My kids had a ball and felt they had a real adventure.
Yurts were very comfy and the campfire was a real highlight. Unlike the other reviewer I found the owner very friendly, we got help with our stove and the campfire was lit for us every night.
There was also a big jar of marshmallows passed around for all the kids. They were a big hit even with us big kids! Signs on the main road would be a big help as it is difficult to find. Although now that we know our way there maybe that's not such a bad thing as this hidden gem can remain our secret!
We look forward to staying there again this year.

Excellent facilities, lovely location near mulloughmore's fishing, swimming and watersports, perfect for children, alternative relaxation area can be enjoyed by both children and adults. Yurts are very comfortable.
Campsite is hard to find, not signposted from the main road and website map is not sufficient. Get detailed directions before you leave as phone tends not to be answered - we wasted 2hrs trying to find the place only to arrive with no one home!
Customer relations very lacking however, management very unhelpful and unfriendly which cast a shadow on our stay.
