Lovely campsite right by the river, with bar and outdoor seating by the river bank, where you can get free wifi.
Facilities looked brand new, one set by Reception and another set at the far end of the site.
We were getting a bit short on time when we arrived here, otherwise would have stayed longer, as very pleasant site. The mini-market was a bit limited in what it carried, so would advise to stock up beforehand if you plan to stay a while.
We went by bike to visit the nearby Museum of the Breton Resistance at St Marcel, an easy ride along the canal bank and then a Voie Vert along an old railway line.
Very worthwhile and moving experience, with the main texts and subtitles for the videos also in English.

We chose this site as it was on our route north, and am very glad we did. We had just been to a beach site and fancied something different, so a site next to a canal felt like a good choice.
The site, while small is excellent. Facilities are clean, the owners are extremely friendly and helpful, pointing out good cycle routes and local information.
The towpath along the canal is great for cycling. In one direction is Malestroit which is quite pretty and has some decent shops and bars, while Josselin is in the other and well worth a visit.
Small mini market not far from the site has all the essentials. There is also a boulangerie, cafe and a pharmacy an easy walk from the site.

This is a really great Camp site, in a lovely area of Brittany. We've stayed at numerous Camp sites throughout France, but we've never received such a friendly welcome as we did here. The site is small, with the most gorgeous collection of vintage caravans near reception. These can be rented for Bed and Breakfast on a nightly basis. One houses the camp site library. Theres a few if the usual mobile homes to rent, and also some tree houses, higj up in the forest.
Our pitch was at the end of the site, beside a field containing a friendly horse and donkey. The Nantes Brest canal runs beside the campsite. The towpath is ideal for walking or cycling. One direction takes you to the delightful town of Malestroit and the other to Josselin with its magnificent castle.
The owner gave us a huge amount of information on things to do in the area. There is a lot to do, from visiting quirky museums, galleries, insect zoos, lakes for watersports, visiting lovely towns and villages, etc. The campsite has a small pool with sliding roof, a playground and a fantastic ropes adventure course up in the trees. Campers get a discount for this.
The village has a mini market, boulangerie, cafe and a pharmacy.
The toilet/shower blocks were spotlessly clean, the main one being quirkily furnished, reflecting the owners' style.
We really liked the location of this site, coupled with the friendliness of the owners and a nice relaxing atmosphere.

If you are looking for a 5 star site with all the toys, this site is not for you. However if like me you wish to simply chill and enjoy your R, R, this site is well recommended. The owners, Lauren, and Myriam are extremely friendly and helpful so much so nothing is too much of a hassle to them, however a mixture of both french and English gets points across. The site is level with average pitch sizes parking between well spaced out trees, or a more open area for tenting. The wash / toilet blocks x2, are again not 5 star, but clean and warm. A moderate sized heated swimming pool which covers in poorer weather. A quaint vintage caravan area occupies the top left of the site, these vans are for hire to accommodate for the camper who fancies something a little different. But what makes this site so well worth the stay is the access to the cycle tracks which are located just outside the front entrance. The tracks run along a beautiful tree lined canal for many miles with well kept manned lock gates for the river traffic, added to this is the disused railway line which runs straight and is very cycle friendly, and flat for the not so energetic folk among us. Like all French campsites the weekends can become a little crowded with noise levels rising slightly, that said, come 23. 00 hrs things do hush considerably to silence by midnight. I can not comment during high season, but we'll worth a visit when using ACSI.

Here's a gem of a site. Very French and right on the canal for easy cycling / walking to Malestroit in the south or Josselin to the north. Both worth a visit.
The site is open plan with plenty of trees for shade with hook ups (french 2 pin needed). The facilities are new, good and clean although chemical disposal was using one of the loos!
The owners are very helpful and have a small bar and cafe which offers basic dishes. There is also a well sized covered / open pool. The shops in the village are just a 2 minute walk away and we would highly recommend this site.
