A very attractive site with well kept gardens and a view through the trees down to the Dove Valley.
There had been a lot of rain and the footpath down to the river was quite overgrown and very muddy. After all the rain we welcomed the hard core just beneath the well cut grass.
Attractive but firm. The facilities were basic and clean. A lovely area to visit. Because of the high bank we were virtually unaware of the road running along the back of the site.
Our pitch was a good size, plenty of room for the awning.

Stayed on this delightful CL for a weekend with friends. Quite a novel site as the pitches are grassed 'laybys' along the access road.
Some road noise but nothing excessive. Clean simple facilities, toilet and shower. The site is well kept, grass is kept cut.
Lovely setting with a garden on a sloping bank. Interesting information about the creation of the site.
Plenty of information available about locality and attractions. Suggest only approach from North East.

Just had 5 nights on this CL, and I must say it was a lovely site, the owners were very friendly but never in your face. The site looks like 5 laybys in a row with plenty of room to just pull in, they are not very deep though so you might find them a little tight if you have an awning, but I managed to get mine on ok. Theres some nice walks from the site the dogs loved it. Sometimes there are free range eggs for sale, we had 6 yum. There is a fair bit of traffic noise, but after a while we got used to it. Shower and toilet are basic, but were always clean and there was a fresh towel each day. There is a charge of 50p for the shower you get a good 5 mins, we will certainly stay at this site again, but don't think I'd take the awning next time.

Nick + Kay make you very welcome on there well kept site which has a lovely garden to use and enjoy. A very clean toilet+shower block. Footpath access from site to the River Dove and numerous walks.
The Town of Ashbourne is approx 3 miles via footpaths or using the Number 409 Bus which stops at the site entrance.
This is a very nice Caravan Club CL and I would recommend this site.
