We stayed here for 2 days. Staff were very friendly and the pitches were adequate size. My only negative comment is that there was electric fencing down one side of the field that wasn't signposted to keep some sheep in. My partner unsure if it was switched on decided to test it as we had young children running around and it was indeed live.
The site isn't really close to anything of interest, but was perfect for us visiting relations

We stayed here as our first time away in a newly purchased tourer to find our feet. The owner was around when we arrived and was helpful and friendly, however we didn't see him for the next two days.
My husband went to the farmhouse to sort out payment on the morning that we left, so he was available if we needed anything, but otherwise left you alone to enjoy your holiday.
The camping was on a field with an area fenced off for some sheep. The fence was electrified so I would be a bit careful with very young children, however we had 5 children with us and it wasn't a problem as there was plenty of room for them to play away from this area, even with the site 'full' as there are only 5 pitches.
The toilets were basic but kept very clean and supplied with toilet roll. There were also some leaflets about the local area to peruse. We didn't use any showers so I can't comment on these.
There was a water tap just across from the toilets and a waste water disposal. All pitches had electric hook up and were pretty flat so easy to set up on without having to level the caravan. Torrential rain had left a puddle in the field, but this had been clearly marked and didn't affect our stay.
There were chickens roaming in the farmyard who would come into the field at various times. The children loved seeing these (although we keep our own chickens at home, it seemed more of a novelty when camping). The cockrel also seemed to have an odd body clock and didn't crow until 9. 30 am which suited us fine.
The location of the site is pretty central on the wirral and is a great place to explore attractions, the maize maze being great for children in nice weather and only 5 mins away. There are some shops and take aways within a 2 minute drive and a tesco metro quite close by for any shopping you may need.
I think we paid about £12 a night, with and extra £1 charge for an awning, but that was for 7 of us, so overall great value for money.
All in all if you are looking for a basic, peaceful site and are happy to make your own entertainment this is ideal for you. While there is no play equipment for children, mine were happy to play in the field and make their own entertainment and there were other children there on the first day and they seemed to all join in together immediately.
A great site for exploring the wirral or as a stopover on longer journeys.
