Lovely site, with only electric, water and toilet disposal. In the middle of nowhere.
We had the privilege of staying a few times when Robin the owner was around, what a real nice chap. Sadly he died recently and we havnt been back since.
There seems to be a lucky dip system now where you can’t reserve a specific pitch and you get what’s available which kind of puts us off.
Still, go at least once, if you like the quiet, this is a site for you.

Fantastic 5 van site with great views and walks straight off the site. Very dog friendly with dog walks on site
Beautifully quiet.
Maybe a bit hilly for those with mobility problems as water and loo emptying facilities at bottom of hill although did see one Gent tow his aqua roll up on back of his car. Great idea.
Well spaced out pitches- No showers or toilets but we always use our own anyway.
Will certainly try to go again

For someone looking for a basic site offering peace and quite, space, beautiful views, excellent value for money and a place near the coast you won't be disappointed with Chicken Barn. Owner leaves you alone (which is fine by us) and sites really spread out. There is even one which is located off the field surrounded by trees but we were beaten to that by someone else!

Certainly get a peaceful night sleep in this site, nothing but the deer, pheasants, Woodpeckers and the owls for company.
Fantastic views and great countryside great walks from the doorstep, Just complete peaceful bliss even with our 3 noisy children.
Would have to say that there is a bit of levelling to do to get set up straight but the very pleasant owner couldn’t be more helpful and gave us an abundance of wood blocks to prop up the front of the van. Our unit is a big twin axle and the front wheels were off the ground. Looked ready for a space launch.
Careful if you put the postcode into your tom tom it will take you to the wrong house and I ended up doing a dangerous reverse out from a very angry manor house owners driveway.
Anyway this was the only negative in the whole 3 days, so if you want to just wind down and chill plus you have your own washing and toilets facility this is just sheer heaven. Really recommend the local real ale in the pub just down the road too, Hic. Food looked top class too but was out of my price range.
Will certainly be back for more.
Would have given 10 out of 10 but for the price, no dearer than anywhere else but I just hark back to the old days when toiletless cl's charged 10 bob a night max.

A beautiful quiet site with marvellous views and walks straight from the caravan. Our dogs loved it.
We watched red and fallow deer from the van while having our dinner. With no light pollution it is an ideal spot for star gazing.
The facilities are minimal but with electric hook-ups that is all we usually look for. The owners were friendly and helpful but unintrusive. You do need to have levelling blocks as the site slopes a little but it is large and you can find a peaceful spot away from others if you wish.
A very interesting area to explore especially if you like birding as there are several RSPB reserves close by. We also enjoyed visiting Holt, Cromer and Wells.

This site has fantastic walks and is ideal for kids being a long way from the road and surrounded by woods.
The only draw back is getting level. There is a level-ish section with hook-ups but no water and you'll need a dry day to navigate the steep hill. Once up though there are pretty nice views across the fields.
There is an information board near the entrance and I recommend the lovely circular walk past Bayfield Hall.
Overall this site is very nice, but two breeze blocks or a 4X4 may be needed in wet weather.
