Spent a wonderful three days here. Nice little site with friendly owners. There is a safe path to the town from the back of the campsite but you need an electronic fob to gain re-entry which is a refundable 20 Euros. Quite a few trees and a few with conkers so beware of parking under these in the autumn!
There are two sanitaires on site - one at bottom of camp is unisex but the ones behind reception are split into male and female and were heated when we were there - lovely in the morning.
Good walking in the area - we walked to the Pont du Galetas and rented a pedalo at Lac de Sainte-Croix and spent a lovely hour in the gorge - not so good on the legs for walk back to camp!
Didn't' use the shop in village but was told very very expensive so stock up before arriving.

A very nice well situated site within reach of all the attractions of this area.
The pitches are mostly shaded and vary in size so best to book in advance and you will be allocated one of suitable size. The site owners were very nice and accommodating, speaking English. Bread can be ordered daily and there is a small shop. Also there is a Pizza van on site in the evening. Sanitary facilities were very modern and clean. It is located close to the village within easy (uphill) walking distance.
Moustiers St. Marie is beautiful with narrow streets and tall buildings built into the mountainside. The walk up to the chapel above the village is well worth the it for the extensive views all around. There are plenty of touristy shops and restaurants but only one small shop to buy food etc.
The surrounding area has plenty to offer with the spectacular Verdon Gorge offering sightseeing, canyoning, rafting etc. The gorge feeds into Lac de Ste Croix where pedalo's can be hired and you can boat part way into the gorge. The lake has many plages for sunbathing and swimming.
We spent a very good week there and would return to the area and this site.

Reviewers - mature couple with car, tent and bikes
The campsite is situated near the village of Moustiers St Marie, a hillside village you come across at the end of the Gorge du Verdun. The site is easy to find. It has some chalets, plenty of shade, the pitches are level and grassy. Although it is near the road, it is very peaceful and quiet. The reception has a barrier, you pay a deposit for a card to open it. There is a coded gate at the far side of the site where you can walk across the fields to the village, this takes about 20-30 minutes.
The toilet block has separate facilities for men and women, is clean, heated and lots of hot water. The washing up is covered outside. There is a laundry.
The reception has a small shop, you can order bread for morning, and there are shops in the village. The village is touristy, with pottery and art shops.
There are restaurants in the village.
The area is popular with walkers and cyclists.
The setting of the village is spectacular, across a gorge. You can walk up the steps to the chapel at the top if you are fit!
Price - moderate
